I know that Dad is safe and given excellent care as part of the Orchard family. Each member of staff I meet is caring and attentive to Dad's needs.
The only slight issue is frequent mixups with the laundry - often other people's clothing in Dad's wardrobe, despite everything being labelled.

Mum moved into Orchard Court in 2019 when her dementia meant that she could no longer stay in her sheltered accommodation. My first impression when I first came to visit was that everyone (both staff and residents) were smiling and that never changed. Over the last 4 years, the care and kindness that
she received were wonderful - from the carers through to the kitchen, cleaning, laundry and maintenance staff and this was despite the increasing severity of her dementia and the Covid years. The management managed to create a loving home where not only she but the whole family felt a part of. Orchard Court was not just a home, it was home and made a difficult situation for us much less difficult. Thank you.

Mum moved into one of the bungalows in August after living alone for the last 13 years. She never really thought this would be an option but after several hospital stays she made the decision that it was time to look into future care. After viewing several care homes we were amazed to find this lovely
jewel in Brigg, so close to her family. After her first visit, she decided that this would be the perfect forever home for her. Since she moved in she has become so much happier and carefree, more like her younger self. Every time her family visits she cannot express enough how lovely and kind the staff are and how cared for she feels. Living in one of the bungalows, Orchard Court has given her the feeling of independence and safety while delivering a high standard of support and care. They have a wide range of activities and social events for residents which families are also invited to join. Every member of staff is welcoming and enthusiastic. We thank you all immensely.

The care shown to my Auntie was second to none. The staff were amazing and kind. The home is like a home from home and nothing was ever too much. When she became unwell we were fully informed at all times and able to visit whenever we wanted.

My father has been a resident of Orchard Court for just over a week now. We looked a number of care homes before deciding on this one. None of the others came anywhere near to the level of friendliness, cleanliness, facilities, etc that we saw here. Since being a resident my father has settled in well,
complementing the food, care and rooms. We have met a number of staff, all are very friendly, well trained and respectful. We feel blessed that we found this care home for him.

As soon as my sister and I were finally able to visit the care home, with all the Covid restrictions this year, we knew this was the right place for Dad. The management bent over backwards to ensure Dad had the right room for his needs, nothing was any trouble even when their first experience of meeting
Dad was not the best as he was having an extremely bad day. He moved in in May 2022 to a wonderful room (we all cried that day!) and the difference in him in a few days was amazing. He has come out of himself, he is engaging with the staff and residents and we can finally have some quality time with him when we visit. We always receive a warm welcome from everyone when we visit, we can even bring our dog with us which everyone, staff and residents alike, enjoy. This is the best care home I have seen and the ‘family’ have welcomed Dad into the fold, we know he will enjoy the life he has left in the fullest sense here. Thanks to everyone, these words cannot truly express our gratitude.

I was lucky enough to be able to move my father to Orchard Court when looking for an alternative care home for him. The manager and deputy manager were very helpful and caring when I contacted them about wanting to move my father from his current care home. I cannot praise the staff enough for the care
they provide for my father. Since he has been there I have seen a big change in his mood, in his previous care home he was always really low and crying and I felt guilty not being able to care for him myself, now he is so much happier and he always tells me how nice all the staff are. On visiting my father the staff are always very welcoming and helpful and always have time to talk to you. I can see the interaction my father has with all the staff and the care they provide and this makes me feel reassured about leaving him in their care. I enjoy the updates and photos on their social media page. I highly recommend Orchard Court!

Incredible compassion and care from such a lovely care home! Orchard Court is by far leaps and bounds ahead of other care homes with the amazing activities they offer, care they provide and love that they hold for each and every one of their residents!
I visit my Nanna in Orchard and the staff could
not be more welcoming and kind! They offer refreshments, have a chat and are there if you need anything at all. Manager and deputy manager are doing an incredible job at making sure the care home is a fun, caring, safe, wholesome, loving place to live and it really shows!
There is no other place I would want my Nanna to be. I know she is receiving the best care, the best entertainment and is a part of a loving care home family!

I visited in Feb 2020 and knew this was a special place with a special group of people working there. We needed a care home for Mum and Dad, and this was our first choice. Staff were welcoming and friendly, and residents looked happy and well cared for.
In October 2020, a vacancy became available,
and Mum moved in. Dad had by that time passed away in another care home. It is hard to find the words to thank the staff for all the hard work and sacrifices they have made to keep everyone safe and happy. Unless you work in the environment of a care home, I think it is impossible to fully understand what they have had to do. I do know that if they were not dedicated, they would not be able to do the challenging role they do day in and day out. The pandemic also made things so much more difficult. I cannot express enough my thanks to the staff for keeping Mum safe and happy and also for providing support for me as well when things got tough - thank you, two words that don’t say enough.

A note of thanks to the Manager, Deputy and all the care team at Orchard Court for the help and support given to Mum which has enabled her to attend a dental appointment first thing this morning. Not always easy I know during one of your busiest times of the day when it’s all hands on getting residents
up, washed, dressed and breakfast all before 09:30. So very much appreciated. Our thanks and very best wishes.

My husband has been in Orchard Court Residential Home for over 2 years. During that time the home has been in lockdown and I have been unable to see him. The staff at Orchard Court have been so caring and helpful to him. Nowhere could he have been looked after any better. The conditions are excellent,
spotlessly clean, food is well cooked and they have activities every day to keep residents happy and smiling. When I ring staff do not rush you off the phone and always ready with a kind word. Thank you Orchard Court, I can't thank you enough.

My lovely Mum needed 24-hour physical care and was extremely reluctant to move to a care home. She had been in her house for over 60 years. We initially arranged a four-week respite care placement and after two weeks she wanted to stay permanently. The care is absolutely fantastic, the staff are brilliant
and Mum says the food is amazing. It is such a relief to know she is happy and well cared for. The staff arrange regular FaceTime calls for us and I can visit my mum regularly in the social distancing ‘pod’. My Mum is treated with dignity and respect and communication with the manager is prompt and friendly. Mum and I can ask for no more, I highly recommend this care facility and when the time comes I hope they have a place for me! Utterly amazing.

My review is of the care my dad has received during lockdown.
The care Dad has received has been outstanding, as it always is. Whilst we haven’t been able to visit, there has been a drive-through for us to see all the residents. We’ve been able to talk to Dad through the window, telephone calls, FaceTime,
photographs and videos - everything possible has been done for us to keep in touch. Everyone is happy and everything possible has been done to keep everyone safe during this stressful time. We couldn’t wish for a better home for Dad to be loved and cared for.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank each and every member of staff for the wonderful care given to my dad after he was taken into care after the loss of his wife of over 60 years. Not only is he grieving but also under these bizarre circumstances of COVID and us not being able to settle him into
his new home, they have gone above and beyond what was expected of them to make dad feel safe and cared for. He is very settled and is now enjoying his new life, joining in activities and is more like his old self. Thank you all so very much.

It is hard to put into words just how reassuring it has been (and continues to be) that my mum is being looked after by the key workers, carers, management and support staff at Orchard Court. We often say that people 'go the extra mile'; these guys do that every single day. In recent weeks, under the

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.810)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.810) out of 10 for Orchard Court Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 16 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 16 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.910 for Orchard Court Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (172 Excellents x 5) + (17 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 189 Ratings = 4.91
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.9 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Orchard Court Care Home is based on 16 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 41 registered maximum number of service users is 8.2, which has been reached with 16 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
