Over all time The Millings has 100 reviews.
We cannot praise The Millings highly enough. Our father has been a resident since mid-2019 and the standard of care through this residency has been excellent. Carers spend time with the individuals making them feel special. During the recent Covid-19 situation, all the staff have taken extra precautions, keeping our precious loved ones safe and well.
Thankyou so much for your lovely review, it is so much appreciated by us all.
They got on top of her pain management and helped her get her strength and confidence back to go home again.
Thank you so much for your feedback. We really appreciate how important home can be and our team will work hard to support residents to return there if it’s their wish. Thanks for taking the time to give us the feedback., I’ll share it with the team.
All in all, a first-class service.
Lovely, caring, considerate staff. Can't want for anything living here. Impossible to compare value for money with a similar establishment, as no experience of them. To me, the way everything that is run here, is excellent.
The Millings is an excellent care home but has the atmosphere of a small country hotel. It is a fine old building which has been decorated and furnished with great taste. I will definitely recommend The Millings to all my friends.
We always knew that The Millings was the best care home in the area. When my neighbour and friend needed care, it was the first place we thought of, and we were lucky they were able to accommodate her, and we have not been disappointed. The staff are all extremely friendly and go above and beyond to make the residents feel at home with their care to keep them happy and safe with lots of daily activities.
Our relative has been a resident at The Millings for many years now, and her care has always been excellent. During the pandemic, we have been able to have weekly visits and have seen her in a "bubble" supplied by the home, which has worked extremely well. The staff have remained cheerful throughout all the crisis.
My mum has been in the nursing home for one year. She has settled in very well, due to the staff, who are very caring and understanding to all of my mum's needs. The home is beautiful, it feels like home from home; everything is run very efficiently. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, as well as professional in their work, so overall, I am very happy with the care my mum gets at the home.
My mother has been a resident at The Millings since last May, and my sisters and I, could not be more pleased with the care which Mum has enjoyed. All staff are pleasant and professional and keen to help residents and relatives in any way they can. Given the difficult year we have experienced, the care and consistently excellent service at The Millings have been even more remarkable. Every effort has been made (and continues to be made) to ensure the safety of residents whilst maximising visiting opportunities. I fully recommend The Millings; it's a very special place.
My mother has been a resident at The Millings since October 2019 and is thriving in a caring environment. Despite the obstacles that the Covid-19 Pandemic has thrown at us, I have been in constant contact with Mum and many of the in house activities that she so enjoys have continued. The staff have remained caring, professional and unerringly upbeat. The installation of 'The Pod' has been brilliant over the winter months. It has facilitated many lovely visits, and Mum has been delighted to see her beautiful great-granddaughter. The look in Mums eyes was worth a thousand hugs.
The Millings have done everything possible to make sure all residents are kept safe, they have provided their own PPE from the start, there has always been good communication from the staff, keeping relatives up to date with the latest information. The Millings have now installed a visitors pod, this means I can visit Mum in a safe and comfortable environment.
I would certainly recommend The Millings, I know my mum is in the best place.
The Millings has literally been a lifesaver for my mother. Unfortunately, my mother needed 24/7 care in the middle of the Covid pandemic. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and care my mother has been given; so professional, nothing is too much, good communication skills. Anybody considering care for a loved one should definitely take a look, beautifully appointed, with well-maintained gardens, friendly staff and residents, with an extra special mention to the activities ladies they have kept the residents going through Covid, a very difficult task! 5* in every way.
My Mum went into The Millings in September this year. She has previously stayed there for three weeks in January and after staying in another home, she said that's where she wanted to go. She has been very happy and settled. Her blood tests have returned to normal as a result of diligent medication administration by the staff at The Millings so this is a great weight off my mind. She made friends and even been dancing! There's always something going on but equally, there are quiet places if you want to rest. The place is lovely and comfortable and the staff are excellent - I'd be happy there myself!
We did a lot of research into care homes before deciding where Mum might be happiest. Everyone we asked spoke very highly of The Millings, we did not hear one negative comment. Our local GP said she had always heard excellent reports. Mum has now been at The Millings for two years and is happy, busy and extremely well looked after. The staff love their work and there is a great deal of affection between them and their elderly folk. We were struck by how much laughter there is, always. There are activities every day, quizzes, games, outings. Since Covid 19 they have been well ahead of the curve, protective equipment, distancing etc -- they have done fantastically well. The care offered by The Millings is exemplary, we could not be happier. Thank you!
My mother has been in The Millings since mid-2015 and she has always been very happy and extremely well looked after. Since the COVID-19 outbreak, I have been seriously impressed with how The Millings team have taken such absolute care in ensuring the safety of the residents and staff were not compromised. Well done to all The Millings team and thank you!
My mother has been a resident for nearly two years, she chose to live at The Millings and would only consider a room there. She has been happy particularly as she could bring her own bed and some furniture. The staff are always very helpful and caring especially in these difficult times and always keep us well informed while we cannot visit. No hesitation in recommending this excellent home.
Arrangements were made for residents to video call their relatives where possible to enable them to keep in touch with the outside world. I feel throughout this lockdown that my mother is in the safest place possible for her needs.
The place is immaculate and the carers are wonderful. She is always well dressed with attention to detail i.e matching jewellery with her clothes. Always clean and well looked after.
My sisters and I visit The Millings every week to see our aunty. From when you walk through the front door everything about the place, surroundings and staff are excellent, the staff are so friendly and very helpful. We are glad she is there and happy.
My relative is comfortable, extremely well cared for and very happy to be here. I feel fortunate to have found such a lovely place so close to where I live.
