My late mother was a resident in Priceholme for a year and a half until she sadly passed away at the end of last year. All the staff, including the management, carers, the Chaplain and the support staff, showed unfailing empathy and kindness to my mother, who was in a frail and vulnerable state. They made my mum feel safe and supported during her last months of life. There were regular activities, including weekly religious services, that my mum enjoyed and provided an interest in her life. Mum was encouraged to socialise with the other residents, but her wishes were always respected and she could have her meals in her room if she chose. On Mum's funeral day, the cortège went past Priceholme and all the staff came out to pay their respects, with several attending the Thanksgiving service afterwards. Priceholme is a warm and caring home and I think the staff there are all doing their very best to care for the residents.
Thank you for your wonderful and kind words regarding Priceholme. We are so pleased that you had a positive experience of our care home and the care and support we offered to Mum. We miss Mum dearly and your regular visits and we all hope you are keeping well.
The world of care for the elderly would be a much, much better place if all homes provided such care and attention to their residents.
Thank you so much for your continued support and beautiful words about our care home and the care that we provide. As always, your comments are invaluable, thank you.
Overall, excellent when care cannot be given at home.
Thank you for this lovely review of our little home on the seaside. You know how much we appreciate you and Mum and always love to see you visit.
Mum has a warm and nice room. This is always kept clean and tidy. She is treated with respect and dignity by all the staff. She likes the food and there is always a good choice of menu. I always feel she is safe and secure, and well looked after at Priceholme. There are activities she can join in most days of the week. I would like to place on record my thanks to the management and staff for the way they handled the Covid-19 era. 11/10 marks.
Thank you so, so much for this wonderful review. It’s always such a delight to care for Mum and to, of course, see you during your visits. You’ll never know how much we appreciate your lovely words.
My mom will have resided at Priceholme for five years in July. I was advised by a nurse that Priceholme was by far the best all-around care home in her opinion. So glad I listened as she was 100% correct. The staff from the management down are first class and are so kind and attentive to my mom. She often tells me how well looked after she is. She loves the food and enjoys giving some, sorry, all of the staff a telling off. So glad they understand her sense of humour. As I live abroad it puts my mind at rest knowing she is looked after by a high-quality group of people.
Thank you for your review, as always, it’s greatly appreciated. Mum continues to keep us all on our toes, day in, day out. The home would not be the same without her. Hoping to see you soon.
Mum is very well cared for by all staff and we are grateful that we can rely on them to look after her.
As visitors we are warmly welcomed every time not only by staff but also some of the residents which is lovely and makes us feel part of the Priceholme family.
Thank you everyone for what you do for us all.
Thank you so much for your kind and supportive words. The last year has been a journey, to say the least, but Mum is so, so strong. We always consider you to be part of our family, just as much as we do Mum.
Warm, safe environment.
Lots going on for residents.
Plenty of snacks and drinks available.
Multiple cosy private areas for residents and visitors to use.
Thank you for your lovely comments about our care home, you’ll never know how much we appreciate your feedback. Your mother-in-law is a delight to care for and we always love to see all of her visitors.
My dad is happy in Priceholme. He does sometimes have a moan to me about some aspects... flavour of soup, or the fact fish and chips is more fish and wedges rather then chips! I enjoyed the fish I had one evening when I'd just finished work and popped in to see my dad. He also gets a little bored being stuck inside but I do know the home is trying hard to get a minibus for trips out, once the weather perks up. He has an electric scooter that gives him freedom to pop into town. He really loves the staff, and they are always lovely to me too, always ready with a cuppa! He's not one for the activities but I think he's too picky, the staff member does a good job! Must be hard keeping everyone happy. Overall, very happy with Dad's care, communication is spot on. Management and staff are great.
Thank you for these wonderful words about our care home and the care we provide. Dad is well loved and such a gentle soul. Priceholme wouldn’t be the same without him.
Pricholme is a wonderful small care home, they have looked after my mum for a few years now and have always done their best with her. I know Mum is safe and well looked after. The staff are very kind and friendly. I am always kept informed of any changes or concerns with Mum by the staff. I would highly recommend this home.
Thank you for your lovely words about our home, our staff and the care we provide to your mum. As ever, your words mean so much to us.
Priceholme is a wonderful care home with wonderful caring staff. I feel so lucky Mum was able to find a place here that she now considers her home. It is extremely reassuring for me that my mum is being so lovingly cared for. I have nothing but the highest praise for the manager and her staff.
Thank you for your kind words about our home and the care we offer. As always, your feedback is greatly appreciated and we are so pleased you feel reassured with your mum's care.
Exemplary care is given to my mother with good support, dignity and compassion. Always well-informed about changes, treatments and medical visits for my mother. It's a pleasure to have a mother in this beautiful home. Every aspect is great. The staff, food and activities. I can not thank them all enough.
Thank you for your kind words. I will certainly share this review with my team.
Living abroad it was always a concern for me, finding a home for Mum, just after Mum moved in covid hit, which meant that I wasn’t allowed to visit her for two years!
However, I really didn’t have to worry as everyone is totally invested in making a home from home for all of the residents.
Having been last in the area in June 2023 for three weeks, I have been able to catch up with Mum and also participate in some of the activities which are provided.
Plus we have taken advantage of the beautiful garden and verandas as the weather was good.
I’ve always felt welcomed in the home and nothing is too much for the staff.
I’d definitely recommend Priceholme to anyone who is looking for a care home for their parents.
Thank you for your continued support and positivity. We love it when you manage to visit and so does Mum. We are very pleased, as a whole home, with the newly updated external ground and always enjoy seeing our residents and their loved ones spending time there too. We look forward to seeing you in the next couple of months.
My mother has been a resident now for many years and her care remains first-class. The staff are attentive and caring. The cleanliness and food are excellent.
Many thanks for these wonderful words regarding the care we offer to your mum, she really is a true delight to care for. A huge thank you to you for your continued support.
We are so grateful to Priceholme for looking after our grandma as well as they did. It was a proper home from home.
Thank you so much, your grandma made it so easy to care for her, what a gorgeous lady. We greatly appreciate your kind words.
My mum (who died on the 18th of August) spent precisely nine years as a Priceholme resident. During that time she received excellent care, both physical and pastoral. We have nothing but praise for the whole Priceholme team and would not hesitate in recommending them. We have nothing but thanks for their exemplary care.
Thank you so, so much for your continued kind words about our little home on the seaside. Mum is greatly missed by us all and always will be. It has been an absolute pleasure to care for Mum and to have you as part of our family too.
Mum was a resident at Priceholme for almost 9 years. Throughout that time she was looked after with great care and kindness by all the staff. She enjoyed the church services, the activities, the meals and the company of the carers. She also loved the occasional trips out for fish & chips and to see the Christmas lights last December. The staff were always friendly, kind, good-humoured and extremely caring. At the end of mum's life, the staff did everything they could to get her 'home' from the hospital, communicated with us at every stage and then looked after her with respect, dignity and love for her last few weeks. We will never forget the kindness shown to mum and also to family whenever we visited (we do not live locally). Finally, I wish to highlight the excellent care shown towards the residents during the very difficult situation brought on by the Covid pandemic - the staff went above & beyond to keep everyone as safe as they possibly could for many months of lockdown.
Thank you for your continued, supportive and kind words. Mum is greatly missed here, it just doesn't feel the same without her always chatting with us. It's been a pleasure, not only caring for your mum, but having you and the family as part of our extended family.
Mum has been with the team for over a year now. They've got to know her extremely well, and this not only shows in how they interact with her but also in recognising when she is slightly under the weather. The team continues to do immensely well to keep Covid out of the home while enabling family interaction. We are all so pleased Mum is where she is and truly being looked after. Thank you to all.
Thank you for your review. Your Mum is a happy, cheerful, and of course, a cheeky lady. She brings a laugh a minute to us all, and we’re so pleased she’s decided to stay with us.
My mother has been in Priceholme since August 2020 and so I have not been able to visit her in her room or indeed elsewhere internally. My observations are therefore based upon speaking with my mother (aged 97). The staff at Priceholme have been very good and helpful, particularly the manager. My mother appears to have settled and very happy in her environment.
Thank you for this lovely review. We’re very much looking forward to the day when you can safely come into our little home. As ever, your mum brings us so much joy with her sense of humour, never a dull moment.
Enjoyed my 1 week stay. Very happy with the whole experience. Staff and management couldn't do enough for me. Would highly recommend this care provider. Would definitely use again.
Priceholme has done a sterling job through very difficult times and I applaud each and every one of the staff for keeping the residents safe, happy and occupied alongside looking after their mental wellbeing whilst loved ones were not able to visit. Now things are slowly opening up and we are once again welcome to visit with safe practices in place. Our loved one is settled and content which makes us happy, so a big thank you to one and all.
Thank you for your continued kind words and support. As always, Mum keeps us all laughing every day, such a delightful lady.
