Located in a peaceful corner of Scarborough, Priceholme provides residential and short-stay care for up to 32 residents in a friendly, purpose-designed home just minutes from the seafront. Peasholm Park, Scarborough Beach and Brunswick Shopping Centre are all nearby, offering easy access to scenic walks, local shops and family visits.

The home is arranged in a circular layout around the colourful Jubilee Garden—a calm, central space perfect for pottering, sitting in the sun or enjoying a chat with visitors. Bedrooms are en-suite and can be personalised, while communal lounges, a cosy conservatory and a new log cabin give residents plenty of space to relax and connect.

Dining is homely and heartfelt, with resident-led menus, themed “Fakeaway Nights,” and favourites like jam sponge and sticky toffee pudding. The team also hosts cheese and wine evenings, birthday bakes and regular kitchen catch-ups to keep the menu fresh and familiar.

When visiting the staff are always very welcoming and caring, it feels like a home.


I had to take my mum for an eye clinic appointment 20 miles from the home which meant she fell out of the usual routine at the home for refreshments and medication. On our return, she was in some discomfort (the appointment

was treatment for macular degeneration entailing an injection in to the eye) and staff very quickly brought her a cup of tea and paracetamol and ensured she received a little extra 'tlc' when I had to leave to return home, 45 miles distance away.

Unfortunately, my mother has now passed away but I must take this opportunity to thank the staff at Priceholme for providing a first class service.
Prior to retirement, I worked in social services and am well aware of the situations in a lot of care homes. Priceholme was the exception in providing
exemplary care on all occasions and I am very thankful for all they did.

The home is well run by committed staff who were always friendly, helpful and sympathetic to mum's needs. They kept us informed and were always on hand when needed. The home is clean, and whenever we visited, there were always plenty of staff around who seemed to interact very well with residents. If
anything, her room was a bit on the small side and lacking en-suite bath/shower facilities but did have adequate wash basin and toilet. We were very happy with the standard of care she received in the 2 years she was there, only moving her to be nearer to the rest of the family. Thank you Priceholme.
