Broadway Lodge could not be more different than father-in-law's previous home - clinical, new, staff stood on mobile phones, little interaction with residents, BL is homely, the staff are kind and constantly involved with residents. Broadway Lodge could not be more different than father-in-law's previous home - clinical, new, staff stood on mobile phones, little interaction with residents, BL is homely, the staff are kind and constantly involved with residents. It is small but lots of staff on duty who have been consistent and I suspect low turnover. Head carer is amazing and her ethos, energy and example sets the tone. Family run and father-in-law who had "given-up" in previous home - is now smiling, joking and clearly content and that is due to the staff. Food is also excellent. Manager involved all the time, not shut in office or off site. They cater to his needs including his spiritual needs and we cannot praise the whole staff team enough.

Staff are kind and compassionate with clients
They are very experienced and a look after my mother in law who is living with advance dementia really well.
They are also caring for my father in law who is frail and he appears content and calm

Dad came here at the end of April. Since being here he is more engaged. My family visiting have commented on the care and friendliness of the staff. When Dad moved in not only the staff greeted him but the residents too. I am glad Dad is happier and grateful to the care shown at Broadway Lodge.

The environment is a homely one into which residents and visitors are always welcome. It being a relatively small care home enables the manager and care team to really get to know and interact with the residents. Individual likes/preferences are acknowledged and respected. There is good rapport between staff and residents and needs are attended to, I'm unable to visit as frequently as I would like due to living at a distance but I am kept well informed receiving regular updates.

I am so relieved and pleased my wife has settled into her new home so comfortably. The management and staff are incredibly attentive to her care and treat her with respect and dignity. The staff's attention includes laughter and filled with a family closeness. My wife has recovered her appetite and frequently says how hungry she was. Thanks to the excellent kitchen. My visiting hours no longer cause me anxiety!

Dad wasn't to happy when he first arrived, he said he did not want to stop here, but he had not been here for 24 hrs.

My mum has been receiving outsanding care. All her needs are met. The staff are extremely caring and they go over and above to meet individual needs. The atmosphere and ethos shines through so positively and uplifting. They also address any of my concerns and communicate cleary, supportively and professionally. The service provided is not only extremely beneficial to my mum but also myself and surrounding family. Since residing here my mums quality of life and safety has vastly improved

My Father was admitted for a 28 day assessment following a hospital discharge. Despite him being readmitted to hospital and not completing the 28 days, I cannot speak more highly of the staff at Broadway Lodge. The staff were always caring, welcoming and kept us up to date at all times. They went above and beyond with their care, and always showed a caring and loving attitude. Although my Dad would not eat much , the food we saw served to other residents looked lovely, and the staff tried everything, even cooking separate meals to assist his appetite. The Manager was great with his help and advice, a really positive experience.
