Hi Judith, thank you very much for taking the time to leave us feedback about your experience.
At Armstrong House Care Home - Care UK, we set a high standard for ourselves, so we are very pleased to hear that your experience with us has been a positive one. Thank you for your time, and we look forward to hearing from you.
Many thanks, the Care UK team.
We are pleased to hear that you are happy with your mother's quality of care and with how the home is run day-to-day. At Armstrong House, our Lifestyle team ensures there is a varied activities plan each day, including group and one-to-one activities, taking into account residents' preferences. These plans are circulated to all residents and relatives are kept informed at our monthly relative meetings. We also encourage relatives to follow our Facebook page to stay up-to-date with activities happening in the home.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a 5 star review of Armstrong House. We are delighted to hear that you felt your mother’s care to be excellent. We know that visiting during the pandemic has been frustrating but, as you can appreciate, restrictions are in place for the safety of residents and colleagues. Because visits are more flexible in exceptional circumstances, we were happy that time with your mother wasn’t restricted. We are pleased to say that no colleagues left Armstrong House due to not being vaccinated.

I’m a Registered Nurse with over 25 years of experience in care home management.
I’ve achieved my Level 4 in Management training and am also a qualified mental health first aider.
I have experience working for large care providers and care homes, including looking after a multi-site home that I helped to turn around from a Requires Improvement rating to Good in all areas within six months. I joined Care UK after hearing great things and wanting to become part of the team.
My role is centred around making sure residents and families are happy, and my favourite part of my job is spending time with residents and their relatives. In this role, it’s important to be open, friendly and outgoing. I believe the Home Manager needs to be a people person, have an open-door policy and always be approachable.
As a team, we support each other like a family through good times and bad. I feel proud of what we do when residents are happy in the home.
I like reading and doing crafts when I’m not working. I also enjoy spending time with my family.
