Overall Experience

My partners mum had been here for a few years and suffered dementia which had gotten worse, more so in the past couple of years. Due to her illness my mother in law started showing signs of challenging behaviour which was becoming a regular occurrence. The staff were absolutlry brilliant in dealing with this and all aspects of her care always very polite and patient with her even when she was lashing out at them. My partner would become very embarrassed and had trouble accepting her mothers illness but the staff used to put her at ease about this more than I ever could. Staff always offered us refreshments on every visit and nothing was ever too much trouble. If my partner wanted to query anything, the team leaders more so on night time (as that was mostly when we visited) would always make time to chat and discuss her mothers well being and answer any questions she had. Sadly my mother in law passed away and the support they gave to my partner as she was with her mum the night she died was undoubtedly first class and genuinely compassionate. My partner and myself could not thank the staff and management nowhere near enough for all their care help and support shown not only to my mother in law but also myself and partner.
