Eothen Care Homes Gosforth is a very happy family home, as a resident we are cared for be excellent carers they are more like family and friends and are always there to help and comfort you when necessary, we can all have fun together and laugh. I would also like to mention we have a excellent manager and also her team who are also excellent and will help with anything. I have visited many family and friends in various homes in the region, Eothen above all really stands out. I came originally for respite and stayed on, I have now been here for 2 and half years and I am very happy. I can certainly recommend Eothen-Gosforth. The rooms are well looked after by the excellent domestics.

My mother has been a resident for 5 months now. During this time she has improved physically and cognitively. The level of care she has received is very good. All the staff are caring and kind. The activities help to motivate and stimulate. There is a lovely family atmosphere in all aspects.

Generally speaking I find the care home is excellent. Wonderful care.

Wonderful caring patient staff who go up and beyond for the residents, always smiling and welcoming even when I visit after 9.00pm. The home is clean and warm the food is excellent with the residents needs being cared for, I can not fault what they do.

Lovely staff. Good standard of care provided and we can see the benefit for my dad from being there. There are always a good range of activities available for the residents to take part in and the food is good.

Both my father and I feel that the staff show genuine care and compassion.

My mother became resident at Christmas 2024 and sine then my sister, my wife and I have been most impressed by the care and attention at Eothen in Gosforth. The staff are all kind, caring and always ready and willing to help and look after my mum. In addition we have been surprised and happy to see my mum enjoying joining in with daily activities and communal mealtimes because of the encouragement from the team. We have also noted with appreciation that staff anticipate and prevent difficulties. Thank you, we feel very comfortable with her situation.

It was a huge step to go from living independently to residential care, but following a fall, a stay in hospital and a decline in my Aunt's health it was clearly time to review her care arrangements. I need not have worried as Eothen have been there to support us every step of the way. As a consequence my Aunty settled so quickly, she and I have felt very welcomed into the Eothen family. To start with the Eothen building and grounds are immaculate, but it's the staff that really make this place so special, they treat their beloved residents with dignity, respect, kindness, compassion and above everything love. I could not be happier with the care given and look forward to lots more special times with my Aunty at Eothen. The staff here should be very proud of the difference they make to the lives of their residents and the peace of mind they give to their families.

I have been very impressed with the standard of care provided by the staff at Eothen. This has made a very difficult decision for our family more positive than we had anticipated. I feel that mums transition with her multiple needs both emotional and physical has been helped by the care that she has received. when there have been issues they have been resolved and most importantly mums views and needs have been respected and met. We feel confident that as her needs change the staff will be proactive and response - so important as Eothen is now her home.

I can't speak highly enough for this care home, having visited 9 homes in the North East and experiencing the care of one before my mum moved here, this was definitely the best. My mum receives care from staff who really want to do the best for her. The manager of the home has high standards and expectations and her leadership style ensures residents needs are prioritised and that dignity and respect are at the forefront of everything they do. This home is about good quality care, with staff that really do care.

My father was a resident at Eothen Home in Gosforth for nearly two years until his death, and I have nothing but praise for the Home and all of the staff. It is well managed, professional, spotless, but also relaxed, friendly and welcoming. All the staff got to know my father well and really cared for him, night and day. He had medical care when he needed it, but it was the care staff at the home that were so wonderful as they got to know my father and his needs. Their care and respect for him and their support for the family as he died was exceptional and I cannot thank them enough for all they have done to make his last couple of years comfortable, enjoyable, independent and dignified. I would not hesitate to recommend Eothen Gosforth.

I am very impressed with Eothen Gosforth. All my mother in law needs are taken care of. The staff are very attentive, patient and kind. There are numerous activities arranged, catering for all interests.The staff actively seek ways to improve the residents quality of life - nothing is too much trouble. Looking at other homes in the area, I believe that Eothen represents excellent value for money. I would not hesitate to recommend Eothen Gosforth to other families.

The home is spotless and is super clean. Very tidy and a great organisation. The home is well managed and very well looked after. The residents are also well looked after. The food they get is great. The care they get is great and to a very high standard. They still have some independence whilst getting cared for. Definitely recommend Eothen Homes and would consider it if anyone needed some recommendations for a care home.

Dad has lived here for over 2 years and what a wonderful place this is! It's a lovely community, residents, carers, domestic staff and those in the office - so friendly and caring. A great big thank you to all the staff for your care and kindness.

My dad has been a resident at Eothen for nearly two years, the service and care is exemplary - all members of staff are very helpful and friendly with first-class resident care Etheon Homes has an excellent reputation and I can honestly agree what a lovely place, our dad couldn't be better looked after

Eothon was recommended to us by several professionals. I have been in many care homes and expected Eothan to be similar, but it isn't. It is very homely and welcoming and has a peaceful relaxing atmosphere. The building is situated in lovely surroundings and is well-maintained and clean. The bedrooms are roomy and warm and all look out onto exceptionally well-designed and maintained gardens, which the residents can walk or relax in. There are varied activities every day, in spacious lounges. The dining room is pleasant, like any small hotel and the food is excellent. All the staff, (from management to carers, laundry to catering, and even the gardeners,) are very knowledgeable and caring and always make time for clients and their relatives, answering questions or helping with requirements and requests. I have always felt my relative was in very safe hands and in a safe and secure environment.

My aunty is so comfortable in her room and regularly gets carers checking in on her so she is never left too long on her own. She loves the meals and takes her meals twice a day in the dining room. Thank you so much for all your care.
