My husband has stayed for a week's respite on a couple of occasions, and when he needed permanent care we had no hesitation in applying to Eothen. He has now been a resident for 3 months. His mobility has improved - as he said, there is always someone around to help him get out of a chair. So he is more relaxed. We both find all the staff are friendly and approachable. He is encouraged, but not pressured to take part in activities that make life more interesting - especially indoor cricket, nursery children visits, outings for events, and bingo!

The whole team at this exceptional home are fantastic. The love and care, and humour, they provide every day is wonderful. It is a genuine home-from-home for the residents. I cannot recommend Eothen Gosforth highly enough. Thank you.

My aunt has very sadly recently passed away. She spent a long time in Eothen and was very happy. All the staff were wonderful to her and couldn't have done more to support the family. They made her time there comfortable and enjoyable. The care she received couldn't have been better. Thank you all.

My mother-in-law has been a resident at Eothen Homes for almost two years. In the times I have visited her I found the staff to be first class. The home provides activities for the residents which helps to stimulate them. They also take the residents to local garden centres and other places of interest. The food that is served is varied and to a very high standard. I can't help but praise the staff enough for the caring support they give the residents. Eothen Homes are first class all round.

Eothen Homes is known for its excellent reception to service users. They put their patients/service users first in everything. They render first-class patient care. They are a trusted and respected Christian charity that provides residential care for old people based on Christian principles and values according to their statement of faith.

I have the highest praise for the Eothen Homes. My mother has been there for almost 2 years and has received kindness and care. Above all, there is a homely and relaxed atmosphere and activities every day to keep her stimulated and occupied. It gives me peace of mind to know she is well cared for and couldn't speak highly enough of the wonderful care they provide on every level.

I enjoyed being there. I didn't know what to expect but I was pleased with everything really. The carers who look after me were excellent very patient and helpful. At the dining table, the men were very helpful and the kitchen staff were very helpful.

My mother is a resident at Eothen Homes in Gosforth and has been here for just over two years. She enjoys the staff who are helpful and considerate and also enjoys the other residents.

Mum has been a resident at Eothen Homes for over 19 months and in all of that time the staff have treated her with the utmost care, dignity and compassion. Now at 95 and becoming more frail, assessments and all necessary adjustments to her care have been made ensuring her continued comfort and safety. They have an excellent team internally with a great source of external services in the nurses, doctors, dentist, hairdresser and chiropodist. The grounds of the garden are very well maintained and a delight to see.

My mother was a resident of Eothen (Elmfield Road) for just over 6 months. Sadly she had to leave when her care needs became more acute, but during her stay there, I was overwhelmed by the patience and positivity of the staff. Everyone works so hard to help the residents feel safe and cared for in a homely environment. What thoroughly lovely, helpful people they all are!

The staff are all lovely. They are helpful, caring, considerate and professional. Nothing is too much. The staff are always willing to carry out all tasks that are requested. My mum has been a resident at Eothen for 2 years. I know she is well cared for and in a safe environment. The only thing I would like to see is the staff wearing their names. I know wearing a badge isn't really appropriate when moving and handling residents, however it would mean both residents and visitors would know who they are speaking to.

My 90-year-old Mum has been at Eothen, Gosforth since July, following a spell in hospital. Initially, her stay was just for respite and she was welcomed very warmly indeed. The staff were superb and quickly assessed Mum's medical needs and personal wishes. From regular doctors' visits to early morning cups of tea, the staff have been faultless in their work. Mum has remained in this wonderful Home and continues to reap the benefits of first-class care. Thank you so much.

Our mother is now 95 years and has enjoyed the last 18 months in this wonderful care facility. The management and staff team provide a consistent, professional service which is all very much appreciated. Even the gardens and planting are beyond normal expectations. They are the best when it comes to taking care of residents. Their employees are highly trained and they are good in what they do. They ensure that their resident/ service user is comfortable and thereby putting them first in all they do. They are the best in hospitality.

The most impressive thing about this establishment is the impressive care given to all residents by all carers. As a son of a resident who moved in 2 months ago, it has been very reassuring - the level of quality care, consideration, and sensitivity my mother has received.

My uncle has just recently moved into Eothen Homes. When we visited to look round the Home, we found the staff were all extremely pleasant. The interview conducted to see if my uncle was suitable to stay at Eothen Homes, was done with compassion and care. He has now been a resident for only a few weeks and is still getting to know the ropes, but the staff have been extremely helpful in getting him settled as he was apprehensive about getting used to a new living environment. When I have had to contact the Home to ask about my uncle and any issues he has, the staff have been helpful and keen to ensure the issue is sorted.

This care home is all I had hoped for and more. My mother moved into the home just before Christmas and quickly took to the social side of life in Eothen. After a while, I stopped worrying about her because I knew she was in good hands. The standard of care is exemplary. The carers are obviously well trained but they have lovely natures as well. I am so grateful to them all.

Staff are friendly and helpful and always willing to discuss and address any queries and concerns I have. I am confident that my mother is very well cared for. The home itself is comfortable and welcoming and the garden is beautiful.

The Manager and her fantastic, caring team have gone the extra mile in helping my aunt settle into Eothen, Gosforth home. From the moment she first arrived each of the staff has made her feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble. Her room is spacious and comfortable. The care is first class and my aunt has settled really well in this new chapter of her life. I only have praise for the team. Many thanks.

My dad has been a resident in Eothen Home Wallsend, since the end of November. The staff have been excellent and very caring, nothing is a problem to them. It was a hard decision to make to put my dad into care, but as a family we know he is well looked after. Dad settled in without any problems which made the transition a lot easier. We cannot thank the staff enough, they always make you feel welcome and have a smile when I visit. I would recommend this care home to anybody who is looking for somewhere to put a relative who needs care. Thank you again to all the staff for your kindness.
