The staff have been very very good with Mum and Dad. They look after them well and make sure that the are ok, in bed or up.
Dad like a smoke and they take him into the square and when its sunny he has a little sit taking in the sun after his smoke.

All in all nothing but good things to say about the home and staff.

Only concern is the fact that the lounge areas are on the small side and the residents tend to just sit around the walls sleeping most of the time. Gardens are lovely outside but not accessible for residents. Inside quadrangle is accessible but the planters are still empty and it is quite shabby.

Staff are amazing!

Staff are always attentive and professional. The grounds of the home are well kept and provide a pleasant area to sit out in, weather permitting. Inside the home is very clean at all times. Would not hesitate to recommend for other elderly folk. Lots of activities during the week.

The staff within Worlton Grange are amazing. Jenny, Daniel, Paula, and Craig are very accommodating, patient and empathetic towards dad; nothing is too much trouble. Dad seems very settled and happy at home, which is very reassuring for me. They are truly amazing.

Plenty of activities going on, on a daily basis.

Staff worked extremely hard for the emerald declaration, so pleased they came first as a loft of blood sweat and tears were shed. Overall very pleased with the care that my mother-in-law receives.

My mum has been resident in Whorlton Grange Care home for three months now and it has not been an easy time for her or the family. However this transition has been greatly assisted by the excellent support we have all had from the Whorlton Grange Team. They have quickly gained an understanding of Mum's care needs, likes and dislikes and do their best to make her feel comfortable and settled. This has even included taking her as an individual on a day out to a venue at her request. The home itself is clean, bright cheerful and warm, always buzzing with activity and something going on, set on beautiful grounds too. Thank you Whorlton Grange for continuing to support mum and the rest of us, we know she is in the best place for her.

Before my mum went into the home she was extremely withdrawn, asleep most of the time, could hardly walk, and was in and out of hospital. Since she has been in the home, she is brighter in herself, happier and seems so much more content. My brother and I can't praise the care team enough., We know she is getting the best care which eases our minds so much.

From outside the home is very well-presented, clean and the small garden is well-kept. Inside, the home is spotlessly clean, the staff are very pleasant at all times even though they can be harassed. The residents are well looked after and all their needs are catered for, the home has a full activities programme, with children from the local schools visiting, also entertainment and bus outings, mainly in the summer months. I am more than pleased with the care my wife receives and I will fully recommend this home.

My Father moved from a care home in Ireland to Whorlton Grange in October 2023. After having a terrible experience in his last care home in Ireland, he arrived at Whorlton Grange quite vulnerable. The day we arrived, he was greeted with a huge hug from the deputy manager which immediately reassured him. I can honestly say that the care he has received from day one until now has been outstanding. Everyone (too many to name) has been truly fantastic with him. My brother and I are reassured that he is in the best place, is safe, and is getting the care that he needs and in fact, beyond that - the Care staff are all wonderful. This place deserves an outstanding rating! Thank you to you all from the bottom of my heart, we really can't thank you enough.

My mum lived at Whorlton Grange for nearly six years. Their care for her and me was exceptional. Since her death, I have had more time to reflect upon this. Nothing was ever too much trouble. They were her family and gave her unconditional love and support throughout her time at the home. We always knew she was safe, treated as an individual and offered all sorts of activities to enhance her life. My gratitude has no limit. Choosing Whorlton Grange was the best decision ever made.

Mam came to live at Whorton Grange five years ago and she settled in from day one. As her dementia has progressed she is now unaware of her surroundings but is still very settled. As a family, we are more than happy with the fantastic care she receives. The staff need a massive pat on the back. Thank you everyone at Whorton Grange.
