Dad has received the best possible care at Ashlea Mews.

He has just been moved into a much nicer room. Bigger and has a view out of the window, which because he is confined to a chair all day, is invaluable. He has no complaints and seems happy with the care he gets which in turn makes us happy.

When visiting my nana, she is dressed well and we always feel welcome. Residents always seem happy. My nana loves her outings the staff take her on and loves her activities.

If Nana is under the weather, staff are very attentive. 5* to all staff.

At 93, after living on his own for 30 years, dementia meant Dad could not cope alone. We thought living in Residential Care was going to be a big change for him and were concerned he would not settle. Due to the excellent care, compassion and empathy of every member of staff, he settled amazingly well and even said how content he was. This place gave him company, gave him back his independence, gave him a renewed confidence, and felt safe again as all his needs were met or anticipated. The staff were equally caring when a physical illness meant new needs had to be met. I cannot praise the staff enough. He was taken out, he was involved in social activities, parties, entertainment, plus the staff got to know him well and appreciated his sense of humour and stubbornness. The management and staff were always on hand and were able to tweak things for personal care as things arose. We would recommend to anyone.

I find that the staff have great patience and are very helpful, they really seem to care about the residents in their charge. Also, the management are very supportive and take time to help you as it is very difficult getting your head around a relative who has dementia.

As my mother lives with me she was very anxious going into respite while we went abroad on holiday. The staff at Ashlea Mews were kind, considerate and their standard of care was excellent. Myself and my mother would most definitely use Ashlea Mews care home for respite again.

Very pleased with the care and dignity which was received by my mother in law in the three years she was in care. Not a very easy woman to care for as she didn't always appreciate what was being done for her.

I have been exceptionally pleased with the care Mam has received over the three years she hs been resident in Ashlea Mews. The staff have treated her with respect and dignity at all times even though she was not an easy person to look after, because she knew her own mind and if she didn't want to do anything she wouldn't and she wasn't very respectful to the staff and treated them like servants at times.

When mam had to go into residential care in June 2016, we looked at several homes. However, the one thing that stood out about Ashlea Mews was the friendly atmosphere and the approachable and helpful staff. The staff were loving, caring and friendly towards not only Mam but also us as her family. The food was of high quality and varied. Sadly, Mam died on Christmas Eve, and we wish she could have spent more happy days at Ashlea Mews. I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone faced with the dilemma of placing an elderly relative into a care home.

Our mam went into the care home in August and she is really happy there (despite not wanting to leave her bungalow) The staff are absolutely lovely to her, her clothes are washed and ironed every day, the meals are cooked on the premises and mam says she enjoys them all. There seems to be some activity going on every day, we have had Elvis and Al Johnson entertaining the residents. I would wholeheartedly recommend this care home to anyone.

My Mother has been a resident in Ashlea Mews for almost five years. From the very first day, the staff welcomed her and made her comfortable and kept us, the family informed on how she was settling in. Over the last five years we have built up a wonderful relationship with the staff and this has had a positive impact on my Mam. They know when she's feeling low, unwell or just needs a little chat or hug to perk her up. We have witnessed how the staff treat the rest of the residents and I can say they treat them like they would their own family. The staff give more than 100% of their time. They regularly turn up on their own time and help out at Summer fetes, open days and resident parties. They work extremely hard and sometimes in very difficult circumstances, having to deal with Dementia, or when a resident passes away. The Manager and staff are always approachable and deal with any concerns immediately. We as a family always recommend the home to other people, and so far we have had two friends who have had parents living in Ashlea Mews, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them in the future.
