Overall Experience
As always the care and standard are A1. Very professional with a warm and friendly approach. My mother has lived at Cheviot Court for over five years and has been very happy. Relatives are encouraged to join in any activities and outings.

All care homes should be of this standard.

Overall Experience

My mum went into Cheviot Court in June 2016 after being looked after at home by dad and family. We chose Cheviot Court following a visit we did in April 201 as it was warm, friendly and run by professional and caring staff. To date, we have not been disappointed by the care our mum has had and all the activities organised to stimulate and get mum involved. Mum is very settled has good and bad days depending on her dementia, but we can walk in and out knowing that she is being cared for in a wonderful environment.

Meet the Team (1)

Louise Damms
Louise DammsJob Title:Home ManagerJoined: 2010
I’ve worked at Cheviot Court since 2004, and became the home’s manager in 2010. I started as a domestic and worked my way up.
I really like that we’re one big family in this home – residents and colleagues alike. We look out for each other, and support each other – just like families do.
I’m proud of the hardworking team here at Cheviot Court. We aim to achieve the highest standards in all areas of the home’s life. I believe in supporting my team to do their best work and fulfil their potential, because, when they’re happy, residents are happy.
Residents at Cheviot Court have choice and freedom. They decide how they live their life and what they do each day. We aim to make everything resident-led.

It’s an effective approach. When I see residents enjoying an activity, chatting together over lunch, or happy at the end of the day, I know we’ve got it right.
