I was anxious about Dad moving into a care home, but already within a few months, I am so relieved at how much he is thriving in Palmersdene. This is due to the caring, kind staff and the brilliant environment there. Dad has a beautiful room where he is safe and secure 24/7, which is such a comfort to me and my family.

Mam has been in the care home for a few months and she settled very quickly. The staff are really lovely and are always nearby, they are kind, caring and do a brilliant job- thank you. The care home itself is very comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. Family are always made welcome and always contacted if there are any issues. I'd like to say a big thank you for the Xmas party arranged for residents and family, great entertainment, food and games, the effort made was outstanding and much appreciated.

My wife has been in this care home since May 2022, she has had good periods and bad periods, the bad periods have been when she has had to be admitted to hospital, the good periods have been when she goes back to Palmersdene because of the personal care she gets when she goes back to her room. The carers get rotated so every carer knows all the residents so the residents relax as they all know each other. The care home is spotlessly clean and the cleaners know all the residents as well. My only worry is it does not have a nursing home facility so it could mean that my wife could have to change home if health issues get much worse and I don't want to think how she would cope after being in such a nice environment, hopefully that won't happen. If by chance there is an incident they contact me or my daughter by phone and keep you informed to put your mind at rest.

The care home and the staff are absolutely brilliant with my Mum. They provide a fantastic level of personalised car for her. The food and services they provide are second to none. My Mum is in a far better physical and mental state of health since being with the home. The staff are in regular contact with me if there are any issues with her. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at Palmersdene for what they do for my Mum.

My mother-in-law has settled well into Palmersdene. She seems happy, comfortable and content. She is quite obviously well cared for in all respects. The staff are all very friendly and have quickly got to know her. They provide relatives with lots of info about her wellbeing. We are very happy with the standard of care she is receiving in Palmersdene.

The care home look after my stepdad amazingly well and the staff are really friendly. The staff always make time for the residents and there are regular games or events to engage and to entertain the residents. The home is very clean, nicely decorated and the residents' rooms are a good size with their own toilet facilities. Although I have never eaten there, the food looks very good and the residents all seem to enjoy their meals.

My mother has been in Palmersdene for about 4 weeks now. She has settled in much better than we had expected, in no small measure, due to the kindness and attention displayed by all of the staff. They appear to treat all the residents with respect which helps greatly. Mam seems quite happy and content and, considering that she is naturally quiet and reserved, she has integrated well. Although the rooms are very obviously 'used' they are very clean and comfortable. Relatively speaking the costs are reasonable compared to a lot of the other homes we looked at and therefore I'd have to say that, although not cheap, Mam is probably getting value for money. The home seems to have all the facilities needed for Mam. She also seems to be eating reasonably well in spite of not normally having a big appetite. The management team have taken a personal interest in Mam's welfare and has engaged positively with me and other family members. Overall we are very happy with the current situation.

My mother is very happy and well cared for in Palmersdene, it was a very difficult decision to put my mam into a care home. But all I can say is she is very happy and well cared for the staff are great with her and encourage her to join in activities and all the entertainment that goes on in Palmersdene. I would highly recommend this care home.

My aunt has been in Palmersdene for just over two years. During that time she has been lovingly cared for, looked after and made to feel welcome, giving our family peace of mind. The staff here are second to none and give each resident the love and support they need without question. They have also helped us as a family with some very difficult decisions. A highly recommended facility. Our heartfelt thanks to you all.

What can I say? The staff at Palmersdene are amazing, professional, kind, patient and caring. To know that my dad was looked after and safe was a great comfort. When it came to end-of-life care the staff went above and beyond to make sure my dad was comfortable.

I always felt welcome when I visited and the atmosphere within the home was very positive and homely. Thank you so much for looking after my dad.

My mother has been a resident at Palmersdene for over a year. She is very settled and happy. The staff are very friendly and caring with all of the residents and their visitors. I am always updated promptly about any medical issues or needs. All of the staff go above and beyond to ensure the residents have what they need and accommodate their families. There are lots of activities put on for the residents which my mam loves to take part in. I would highly recommend Palmersdene to others and cannot speak highly enough of it.

Always made welcome by the staff who go out of their way to help the residents. They look after my mam well even though she can be stubborn at times. The staff are attentive and I've even joined in with a few quizzes at times. Food and drink seem plenty and varied.

Since my mum has entered the home she has had excellent care. I no longer have to worry about her welfare knowing that she is being looked after in a safe environment. The staff are always around and you never ever see the upstairs without 1 member of staff or more. You are met with a smile and any questions are always answered.
