The care home continues to welcome new residents for friendly and quality residential and dementia care for up to 40 residents in single en-suite rooms. Palmersdene is Veteran Friendly Framework (VFF) accredited to provide appropriate support for veterans.

The care home look after my stepdad amazingly well and the staff are really friendly. The staff always make time for the residents and there are regular games or events to engage and to entertain the residents. The home is very clean, nicely decorated and the residents' rooms are a good size with their
own toilet facilities. Although I have never eaten there, the food looks very good and the residents all seem to enjoy their meals.

My mam is looked after wonderfully. The staff are lovely and always put Mam at the centre of the care she needs. Rooms are clean and spacious and the food is varied. I cannot fault Palmersdene Care Home and the lovely staff who work there.

My mother has been in Palmersdene for about 4 weeks now. She has settled in much better than we had expected, in no small measure, due to the kindness and attention displayed by all of the staff. They appear to treat all the residents with respect which helps greatly. Mam seems quite happy and content
and, considering that she is naturally quiet and reserved, she has integrated well. Although the rooms are very obviously 'used' they are very clean and comfortable. Relatively speaking the costs are reasonable compared to a lot of the other homes we looked at and therefore I'd have to say that, although not cheap, Mam is probably getting value for money. The home seems to have all the facilities needed for Mam. She also seems to be eating reasonably well in spite of not normally having a big appetite. The management team have taken a personal interest in Mam's welfare and has engaged positively with me and other family members. Overall we are very happy with the current situation.

My mother is very happy and well cared for in Palmersdene, it was a very difficult decision to put my mam into a care home. But all I can say is she is very happy and well cared for the staff are great with her and encourage her to join in activities and all the entertainment that goes on in Palmersdene.

What can I say? The staff at Palmersdene are amazing, professional, kind, patient and caring. To know that my dad was looked after and safe was a great comfort. When it came to end-of-life care the staff went above and beyond to make sure my dad was comfortable.
I always felt welcome when I visited

My mother has been a resident at Palmersdene for over a year. She is very settled and happy. The staff are very friendly and caring with all of the residents and their visitors. I am always updated promptly about any medical issues or needs. All of the staff go above and beyond to ensure the residents
have what they need and accommodate their families. There are lots of activities put on for the residents which my mam loves to take part in. I would highly recommend Palmersdene to others and cannot speak highly enough of it.

My father has resided at Palmersdene since October 2019, his care has been of an excellent standard throughout. My father has been under EOL care for the past 5 months, and the level of care, concern and liaison with us and the medical profession has been outstanding. The leadership at all levels sets
and displays high levels of care, professionalism and integrity. The full team are easily approachable and always follows through on actions and communications. The team - all members - with direct care and contact with my father are exceptional, and professional and show a real care and relationship with my father. Moving my father into Palmersdene improved his personal health substantially, which we hoped for. It also improved his mental and communicative state which was a real bonus. Huge thanks and respect to all of the team.
