Palmersdene is a kind, friendly care home where my wife is a resident. I have great respect for the staff who look after the residents with an altruistic nature and would have no hesitation in recommending them.

My mother is well taken care of carefully and with dignity. My only reservation is a lack of activities rather than just sitting in a chair all day.

Otherwise, very satisfied with care and carers.

Reply from Maureen Kane, Home Manager at Palmersdene

Thank you for your feedback. Historically most of our activities have taken place in the afternoon, to allow more residents to be involved after their morning routine. However, we have also increased staff in the last week so more activities can take place during a morning as well as an afternoon. I will be happy to discuss our activities calendar with you during your next visit.

Standard is very good and staff very helpful. Good at getting medical help when needed. Care home is nice and warm and comfortable, with nicely set tables for dinner. Could do with extra carers.
