My mother has just passed away in Palmersdene after being a resident for two years. She has received excellent care and the staff have treated her with great care, attention and respect and we cannot thank them enough, treating her like a family member. The manager and her team are very efficient and we have had good communication with them all (especially during COVID).

My father has resided at Palmersdene since October 2019, his care has been of an excellent standard throughout. My father has been under EOL care for the past 5 months, and the level of care, concern and liaison with us and the medical profession has been outstanding. The leadership at all levels sets and displays high levels of care, professionalism and integrity. The full team are easily approachable and always follows through on actions and communications. The team - all members - with direct care and contact with my father are exceptional, and professional and show a real care and relationship with my father. Moving my father into Palmersdene improved his personal health substantially, which we hoped for. It also improved his mental and communicative state which was a real bonus. Huge thanks and respect to all of the team.

Dad has been here for three years and the care and dedication have been exceptional. The staff are very friendly. He is very happy here. The home is just one big happy family. I know my dad is getting twenty-four-hour care which takes the stress away, knowing he is in good hands.

From the moment my father joined Palmersdene, he has been made to feel very welcome. He has settled in so well. The staff are always helpful and friendly. Although he has had to isolate, staff are always willing to pop the portal in his room so we can FaceTime or do window visits.

My father is currently staying at Palmersdene on a short term basis with hopefully the possibility of him remaining there. The staff I have met so far are friendly, kind and knowledgeable and will also answer my thousands of questions. I feel the staff are empathetic, caring, meet all of my father's needs as well as bringing out the best of his personality. It hasn’t been easy thinking of my father being anywhere other than his own home but I would not want him anywhere else and would wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to anyone. Thank you for welcoming my dad into your home and treating him with kindness and respect and allowing him to be himself.

My mum has been in Palmersdene Care Home for 3 months following a knee replacement. She has been happy with the care she has received and I have been impressed by the way the staff have helped her with her rehabilitation and made it possible for visits from physiotherapists and occupational therapist during this difficult time. They have also kept me informed of these visits and my mum's progress.

Both my parents have been residents at Palmersdene for a number of years until my mother died in December 2020. My dad still remains a resident. I think the procedures at Palmersdene are excellent and I cannot praise the staff enough. They are very caring and take time out to speak to the residents when they can to make them feel more comfortable. I am always kept well informed of any changes. I feel very comfortable that my dad is in a caring and comfortable environment.

My sister has been a resident for nearly ten years now and she says she is really happy. The last 13 months have been really trying but I have always felt confident that she will be safe with the care that she receives. I have been kept well informed of what has been going on and they have done everything within the guidelines to allow us to see her.

My mam is very happy and safe in Palmersdene and that is all we aim for. I used to visit her almost every day and was kept informed of what she needed personally and in her room etc. Obviously, covid has affected many things. My only area of concern is communication. Hopefully, this is now being improved. I am looking forward to being able to take her for a walk in the garden and look at the birds etc.

My mother lives in Palmersdene and has done for almost three years. She is very happy there despite the lockdown going on for so long. She refers to the staff as her friends and enjoys times spent with them. I am happy that I know my mother is safe and well cared for.

I can not put into words how amazing the staff are at Palmersdene. My nanna has just gone in a few days ago and the difference already is amazing. My nanna looked terrible beforehand then when I went to see her, the staff at Palmersdene had got my nanna up and dressed; myself and my family were over the moon to see her looking so well. When we found out my nanna needed care, I knew that was the place for her I wouldn’t have her anywhere else. Nothing is ever a bother no matter what you ask of them always putting my mind at rest.

When my father-in-law passed away suddenly they dealt with his passing as if he were a relative. We cannot thank them enough for how they cared for him and the support they gave us. They continue that support to his wife that also lives there. In this difficult time we are having they are doing an incredible job for all the residents that live there

My mother became a resident at Palmersdene at the beginning of February 2020. She settled in really well as she was discharged from the hospital after she had a section under the mental health act. The staff treated my mother with care and consideration. Unfortunately, as COVID appeared, the home was locked down. Mam's mental health deteriorated and the staff was challenged taking care of her. I know they have met my mother's challenges with professionalism and respect where possible. I have a very good relationship with the staff and I know they are doing all they are able during this time and remain COVID free.
