We have found the staff to be supportive, friendly and professional towards ourselves and the resident.
The decision to place a family member in full-time care is a difficult one to make.
The care home has a lovely atmosphere.
It is clean and pleasant in decor.

There are lots of varied activities for all residents to participate in and to stimulate them.

Reluctantly mam had to move into residential care in October 2018.
Despite our concerns, we have been impressed by the level of care mam receives.
All the staff are fabulous and nothing is too much bother.
We are kept well-informed at all times about mam.

I would recommend Glenholme to anyone who is considering residential care for a family member.

What can we say as a family who did not know what to truly expect and how mother would react to being resident in a care home (Glenholme). Having arranged a visit to view the home, we were put at ease straight away by staff. Everyone was happy, smiling, full of fun; despite the recent completion of afternoon dinners. As son and daughter, we were given more than enough information to help make a decision as to whether this was the right place for mam. Over the 6-8 weeks mam has been in residence, she has returned to her old self, compared to how she was in hospital. Fellow residents are friendly and make everyone welcome and encouraged to join in with activities. Mam's room is made to feel like home; although she is hardly there other than to sleep. Encouraged and happy to sit with others in the family lounge or participate with activities in the dining area - painting/interactive games. The staff are very helpful and friendly and prepared to listen to family members.

A great place.

I have only been here a few months but have settled in really well. Everyone is very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. My room has a lovely view and is comfortable. If I press my buzzer the staff come straight away to see if I am alright. The food is more than plentiful and tasty. The main thing is I feel safe here. If I'm in my own room, the staff pop in to check on me.

My mother attended Glenholme House firstly as a day patient for a few years. When the time came to change this to resident, we have no hesitation in choosing Glenholme. This was the right decision.

The staff have continued to provide excellent support to mam. Both with their personal care and varied activities. They have made the difficult decision a little easier and I'm sure will continue to do so.

We went to visit Mam at the weekend (it was a surprise, Mam and the home didn't know I was going) we live nearly 500 miles away, so it's so important to us that Mam is safe and happy. What can I say, Mam is so happy, from once giving up on life before she moved in, she is like a new lady, she joins in nearly all the activities (not the small animals she has never liked them) things I have never seen her do before, she especially likes getting out on the bus. As a family, we are so grateful to the home and especially the staff who are always warm and welcoming, not just to Mam but family and visitors who go into visit Mam. This combined with their professionalism makes choosing this home the best thing we ever did and I would highly recommend this home to anyone.
