My mother stayed as a respite patient for 1 week whilst a wetroom was constructed in her bungalow. From my first visit to assess I was struck by the professionalism and excellent condition of the home. The manager/dep manager and all staff are a huge asset to Barchester who care deeply for their residents. I would certainly like my mother to stay again. I would be grateful if you could commend them all for their professionalism. I felt totally at ease that my mother was in excellent hands.

Due to the current pandemic, I have not been able to visit the mam inside of the home. Only visit via a visit suit. Mam is always clean and tidy. She is happy in her environment. Staff are always helpful and take care of mam.

My 93-year-old mother-in-law was a resident at the home for just over 2 years. During her stay, she was looked after so well by the fantastic manager and staff. From the very first time we walked into the home I knew it was the right place for her, cosy and a feeling of home. A good selection of food and drink was always available and as visitors, we were always made to feel welcome. An open door approach by the manager to discuss any concerns (which there were none). A wide range of activities available which she always took part in, especially the singing entertainers.

I can't thank the team enough for looking after her so well and making her stat comfortable and safe.

My 93 years old mother was a resident of Washinton Grange for just over two years, however, unfortunately, died in July 2020 (non-Covid). During her stay I always found the staff caring and attentive to her needs, ensuring that she was always clean, tidy and safe. She suffered with Alzheimer's but this never prevented her from joining in with the activities, especially the singing entertainers. She was always encouraged by the manager and staff to join in and sing. The accommodation was always clean and tidy and a good selection of food and drink was available. I can't thank the team enough for making my mother's stay comfortable and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the home.

My mother-in-law was resident at The Grange from October 2018 to June 2019. The carers and respect she received was excellent.

We, the family, were kept fully informed of all matters relating to my mother-in-law. All levels of staff from management to carers fantastic. I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anybody, could not have wished mother-in-law's last days to be any better. Many thanks, Washington Grange.

My mother in law is in this home, the care she receives is 100%. Carers have a lot to put up with dementia patients. I've seen with my own eyes how some patients are violent towards carers they deserve a medal for kindness and patience they are dedicated to there jobs. They work hard for there money and only wish they earned more because of each and everyone deserves it from carers to cleaners to kitchen staff and management. This home is brilliant excelling in everything even the activities keep up the good work. Thank you all.

Under very difficult circumstances the staff have provided appropriate and sympathetic care for both my mother-in-law and wider family.
We have been able to participate in stakeholder meetings to decide on changes in care when required.

During my Aunt's stay at this care home I can, with true knowledge state that the care and attention to Aunty's needs were met with compassion, dignity and a vast knowledge of her illness, which resulted in her comfort and well being at this home. We encounter no resistance from any of the staff as they were all for the residents and they all do a brilliant job. The Manager and all staff deserve praise. Thank you all.
