They also recognise that residents should have full choice over who they wish to see or be visited by.
In normal circumstances, there will be no restrictions on visiting hours other than those requested by residents collectively or individually. The only exception may be in the incidence of an infection outbreak, where staff will refer to the Outbreak Management and Isolation Nursing Policy and Procedure.
St Martins Care Limited will always have regard for the current national guidance in relation to visiting rights and they are determined to do all they can to ensure families see their loved ones as much as possible.

She has a newfound appetite for the delicious home cooking and is enjoying the regular activities provided for the residents. She has been able to furnish her room with her own possessions so it really is a home from home for her with the benefit of excellent care and company.
Overall, moving here was mum's best decision in a long time and we have no hesitation in recommending Washington Manor.
The empathy and help I have been shown prior to my father having to go into nursing care have been very much appreciated.
One particular senior who has worked for many years in Washington Manor is excellent in her role and she has helped my dad and me solve any issues which arise.
There are always issues in a care home environment but the staff go out of their way to help in any way they can. I wish Washington Manor staff and residents very best wishes for the future.
We have recently taken on an additional activities coordinator and offer a variety of activities throughout the week and weekends. We are always happy to amend our program to suit our resident's interests.

From a young age, Helen cared for her dad. This gave her a real passion for caring, so much so that she knew straight away that she wanted to work in care. Helen completed her NVQ level 2 and 3 in school in 2013 and, after that, she worked in several jobs before going to college. In 2016 she had her daughter who is now 7 years old. Helen then returned to work and undertook roles in the community as a carer, something that she really enjoyed. During COVID, Helen chose to take some time out to look after her daughter before deciding to get back into work and joined the team at Washington Manor as a part-time care assistant. She soon realised that she absolutely loved working at Washington Manor and after a few months was promoted into a full-time senior care assistant role. After excelling in that role, Helen was promoted to Deputy Manager and, in January 2025, to the Registered Manager. Helen is really looking forward to taking on the role and new responsibilities. Helen is the perfect example of how someone with the right skills, attitude and determination can progress and develop their career at St Martins Care and she is committed to make a difference to the lives of all the residents of Washington Manor.
Angela has been working in the care sector for over 20 years. She joined the team at Washington Manor in October 2020, starting as a care assistant and was very quickly promoted to senior care assistant. Angela has completed her NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care and has recently completed her Moving and Handling Train the Trainer course meaning she can train all her colleagues within the care home.
Angela really enjoys supporting the Senior Care Team with the online systems the company uses to deliver excellent care, such as PCS for care records and Camascope for medication management. Angela was promoted to Deputy Manager in January 2025, and says that she is really looking forward to the opportunity to learn new skills and to putting her 20+ years’ experience into practice. “I am looking forward to supporting the team and ensuring our residents receive the very best care.”
