They have been amazing showing care, love and understanding toward my mam. They have helped us as a family with the process of mam becoming a permanent resident. You walk in at any time and are greeted with a warm friendly smile. I feel happy and content that my mam is well cared for.

- my father Lost vision in his left eye on Sat 23rd, I called Care Home Reception to investigate and call ambulance. Duty manager - Kim, after investigating the condition and allegedly consulting it medics over a phone, informed me that my father didn't show symptoms of a stroke and eye would have
to be investigated on the next day and only if member of family can take my father to the hospital. On the next day my niece took my father to the hospital and after examination we learnt that my father lost vision in left eye due to mini stroke. We were also informed it was a permanent loss and only immediate treatment after loosing vision might have saved his eyesight. I have spoken with deputy manager about this incident. As I understood this case was going to be further investigated and I am currently looking forward to the outcome of this investigation.
- in addition my father is suffering from diabetes, despite of this he is regularly given sugary snacks(chocolate bars).
Reply from Cassie Schofield, Business Support Manager at Washington ManorThank you for your comments regarding the care of your father at Washington Manor following concerns relating to loss of vision, this must have been very distressing. We just want to reassure you that the correct process has been followed, observations were immediately taken, which were all within normal parameters and Recovery at Home were contacted for further advice. We followed their instruction and an appointment was made at the eye hospital for the next day. We have liaised with the GP and community matron and the team have acted promptly and followed all procedures. The management team will be in touch with you to share the outcome of their investigation in more detail.

My daughter is in the LD care section Coniston/Ullswater. She has been here a little over a year now. It was the most devastating day of my life when I was told she would now need 24 hr care in a home. However I now realise it was the best decision for her. The staff are amazing lead by an equally
amazing Manager. The home is clean, light & airy. - the staff are hard working, friendly and most of all have a very caring attitude towards their residents. I no longer worry as much about my daughter as I know she is happy, healthy and well cared for which is all I can ask for. I can visit/bring her home whenever I want to. There are always activities going on which is fantastic as she is very active - loves music and dancing so it suits her very well. She has been on 2 holidays with them as well.
I would recommend Windermere to anyone looking for a care home for their loved ones. Outstanding !!

Came to Washington Manor to celebrate my auntie's birthday. We took cakes, and the staff/carers were so welcoming. The catering staff totally spoiled us with an amazing cheese board, scones and tea. It helped us to celebrate the special event. It was amazing. Staff are brilliant here—relaxing environment,
so comfortable to visit. Can't thank the carers and caterers enough. Great experience. Very happy my auntie is here.

Washington Manor care is really supporting my aunt very well. The staff take a real interest and help her to adapt to her changing condition, as many distressing symptoms develop. The attention and concern for her wellbeing is lovely, and I must say the food and catering in Washington Manor is excellent.
A beautiful spread was produced for my aunt's birthday, which was very much appreciated and made to feel special. Thank you.

I would like to understand why I a male adult who has full capacity am still in bed at 10:55 am? Despite several calls to staff and management I am being ignored, whilst other patients without any capacity are being showered. Priority surely should be made to those that have the mental capacity to enjoy
their day, however because I am still being ignored in bed I am getting understandably stressed.
Reply from Cassie Schofield, Business Support Manager at Woodside GrangeWe are always balancing needs and priorities and are fully committed to being proactive and responsive. We support a wide range of people with long term conditions and cognitive impairments and they are all equally important. The group clinical lead made contact with you immediately via phone and email and will work with you and the onsite management team to find a satisfactory resolution.

My father in law was in Willow Green for the last few weeks of his life and I can't express how happy we were with his care. The staff were patient, kind, gentle and kept his spirits up when he was down. They were also amazing with our whole family, they were supportive and kind and were especially
caring with my mother in law. I can't thank the staff enough for all they did and for making his last few weeks comfortable and stress free. Anyone who requires care would be lucky to be a resident in Willow Green.

After viewing a couple of different care homes the minute we walked into the Windermere Grange it felt so different to the others. Years of care home perceptions blown away with the friendly and relaxed attitude. Nothing too much for either the Staff and management . I'll have to drag my mother out
when the time comes .

The care home is one of the best I have been in. Plenty of food, very caring staff and the building is well maintained. Residents' well-being is very good. If you need to talk to someone with regards your relative, the management are always there to help. The only thing I think is needed is more entertainment.

The manager and staff of chestnut suite do a great job of caring for the residents, the go above and beyond to help them and us, it's not an easy job due to the various natures of disability in the home and the knock on affect of behaviour but they do amazing. I stay for Sunday dinner most weeks and
cannot fault the food and hospital of the team, I'm am eternally grateful for everything they do

We as a family are happy with the care provided for our mam. All the staff & management are amazing. Our mam's classes this as her home now & is never alone or even feels alone, shes allways doing activities when we visit & this could be anytime of the day. This was a very hard decision
for us as a family to make but most definitely made the right one.

We cannot thank this home enough for the care given to my dad in his final weeks. He was treated with dignity, kindness and genuine respect every single day.
The team were professional, compassionate and incredibly well organised. Communication with our family was always clear and sensitive, which brought
great reassurance during a very difficult time.
It is clear this is a well-led service with strong values and a culture of truly person-centred care. We will always be grateful for the comfort and peace they gave our dad and our family.
