Windermere Grange

Expense overall very polite, the care staff are mostly very approachable and extremely caring and dedicated to providing excellent care/interventions to residents. Manager is also approachable and wants the best for all who reside in the unit. There is room for improvement when it comes to residents' belongings and clothing. I don't believe that it is correct for an individual's personal bathing/toiletries to be used on other residents when these are provided by family, and that all residents should be dressed in their own clothing.

They have been amazing showing care, love and understanding toward my mam. They have helped us as a family with the process of mam becoming a permanent resident. You walk in at any time and are greeted with a warm friendly smile. I feel happy and content that my mam is well cared for.

I would recommend Windermere to anyone looking for a care home for their loved ones. Outstanding !!

After viewing a couple of different care homes the minute we walked into the Windermere Grange it felt so different to the others. Years of care home perceptions blown away with the friendly and relaxed attitude. Nothing too much for either the Staff and management . I'll have to drag my mother out when the time comes .

We as a family are happy with the care provided for our mam. All the staff & management are amazing. Our mam's classes this as her home now & is never alone or even feels alone, shes allways doing activities when we visit & this could be anytime of the day. This was a very hard decision for us as a family to make but most definitely made the right one.

Since Dad arrived he has felt safe and engages with the polite staff and residents. It's a huge relief to my family knowing that he is being well looked after. The rooms are cleaned on a regular basis and he's always keen to socialise with the activities on offer

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. My mum is enjoying the food and the interaction with the other residents. Manager was very helpful and obliging regarding my mums respite.

Friendly caring staff on hand at all times, no problems to talk of and will have e no worries when it time for me to use the services again. All seemed clean and tidy with residents all appearing well looked after and under constant supervision when not in there rooms.

I feel very lucky that a place was found for my mum at Windermere Grange. The home is spotlessly clean and I noticed that it smells fresh as you walk in. Mum's room is lovely, with a garden view. All of the staff I've met have been extremely warm and friendly, and they treat my mum with such kindness and dignity. Mum's healthcare and social situations are not the most straightforward, but nothing has been too much trouble at Windermere Grange, and everyone goes out of their way to try to encourage mum and help her help herself. Mum can be quite negative in her outlook, but she has nothing but positive things to say about her experience of Windermere Grange so far, particularly the staff and the food.

First impressions were the Manager, Deputy Manager, Staff & Residents too, were friendly & welcoming. It looked inviting, clean, bright, airy, well looked after & smelled fresh. My experience has been that there's always a senior member of staff on duty & it's never a problem to them if I call for an update on my father (I live away), plus they call me straight away if any health or other issues. My father's needs have changed since he moved in to Windermere Grange & this has not been a problem to them, in fact they've worked very well to keep him safe & comfortable, working with him as & when his care needs have changed. My father enjoys the meals, he gets to choose & likes it that he can eat his meals in his room. In passing I've noticed staff sitting & chatting with the residents in the lounge. Over the past 2 years he's been somewhat on the roundabout of adult social care, domiciliary care, care homes & hospital wards, not all good experiences. Now I can relax he's cared for.

I would like to thank Windermere Grange so very much. We are so very grateful for the loving and caring support for our Dad. Words cannot express our gratitude. Thank you everyone, so much, everyone is fantastic, helpful and nothing was ever too much trouble. Always there for my Dad and family, going above and beyond.

Both in-laws have dementia and they’re treated as individuals and with care. Both settled well and see the staff at friends/family. The staff are always accommodating and give us family members the time and care we also need.

The staff are welcoming and friendly, their care of my husband is very good.

Our time here has been wonderful. All the staff have been terrific. We have felt relaxed and cared for. There is nothing they won't do. We recently celebrated our son's wedding with his in-laws. The staff were so kind and made very welcome.

My father was a resident at Windermere Grange from 2016 until his passing in April 2023. He was extremely well cared for during this time. As English was not his first language, communication was a challenge, but staff went above and beyond to communicate with him. He was always happy, settled, and content knowing he was safe and well taken care of.

Very hot day and my aunt wanted a shower, all staff were busy but one carer took her to give her a shower and then blow-dried her hair. The care given was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. Above and beyond.

His room is ideal and comfortable. All of the carers and management are excellent.

So different to the previous residential home I was in. Nothing seems to be a problem. Food is really good, maybe too much to eat. The room is kept nice and clean. The staff have been welcoming and friendly.
