Lovely surroundings and beautifully clean home. Mum has just been in a couple of days, she said the food is lovely and the care people are really patient and kind.

Mum has been at the home for about five years. I know mum has always been looked after very well. The staff have worked tirelessly through the Covid epidemic and always manage to keep smiling. The staff have always gone above and beyond to accommodate both my mum and family. Thank you to all the staff for everything you do. You are all amazing.

Transition to the care home was made quite easily thanks to the friendly approach of the staff. Moving to a new residential situation can be difficult but in my case, I had no problems.

What a wonderful place. We, as a family, could have not found a better place than this. The care, compassion, empathy, quality choices were over and above. I have seen quite a few care homes in my time, but this one is at the top of the list. Having worked in the care industry, I would very well recommend this home to those looking for quality care.

Nunthorpe Oaks is a lovely care home - very well suited to my mother's needs. The staff are very attentive and as a family, we're content in knowing she is being well cared for. Over the Christmas period, the home was beautifully decorated with lots happening to keep the residents entertained. Families are kept well informed.

Mum took a while to settle into Nunthorpe Oaks but the staff took time to get her needs and personality. She gets the best of care and is really happy to participate in events. The new manager is a great improvement and now that renovations are complete, the home looks lovely. The food is excellent too. The care staff are doing a great job in these difficult Covid times.

This is over and above a care home. The care is amazing, as are the carers. The food is excellent, and the rooms are so pretty, functional, accessible and so clean. The facilities are brilliant, with various meeting and seating areas, both quiet and buzzy, and even a bistro restaurant as well as a dining room. What I did notice is that the encouragement to mix has meant that the home is alive and has something for everyone. I cannot praise this home for my dad enough, and both my brother and I agree we made an excellent choice. It is light, bright and happy and gives very good vibes. Their Covid precautions are excellent.

My mum came into the home at the beginning of May 2021. We have found most things have been good. A few issues with the booking in system for visits but overall we are very pleased. I do think we could be advised on a regular basis how our loved ones are doing, especially when my Mum arrived, there seemed to be no one to speak to, I had to look for the manager in the end. The Covid testing lad tended to be the only one who knew how she was doing. He wasn't a carer but tried his best to fill me in.

The staff are friendly, but the restrictions on home visits isn't great. Two visits a week is heart breaking. During a difficult time in February Nunthorpe Oaks Residential Care Home were fantastic. It's difficult to comment as we have only just been allowed inside the home. The pod took too long to be sorted.

Overall, the care for my mum has been very good. The staff work hard under sometimes challenging circumstances. The COVID pandemic must have added extra challenges for the staff and they have dealt with this very professionally.
