Nunthorpe Oaks Residential Care Home

My mum has been very well cared for treated with compassion and respect and given her dignity. The staff are amazing friendly, helpful, and patient and very approachable the home is spotless and very well maintained and my mum is very happy here.

The staff are always very helpful, friendly and always smiling. The home is always clean and has a lot of activities going on every day. The food always looks delicious and always have a tea trolley coming around. I have been visiting for over six months and would recommend Nunthorpe Oaks to anyone looking for a friendly place to live.

The care given to my dad is exceptional. The staff are all so good and patient with him. The food is very good and well-balanced. He is very settled here and it makes such a difference to know he is somewhere lovely and taken care of and safe. Would highly recommend.

This home is outstanding in so many ways. The care my brother is receiving is second to none. I have never seen my brother so happy. The residents are all happy. Management are so hands-on and always make time for a chat/meeting. The staff are so welcoming. The facilities are fantastic. When we visit, it is like going into a big happy family home. Beautiful Home where my mam was a resident. Knowing that my mam was safe and cared for meant everything to me. Management and staff went above and beyond caring for my mam, especially at the end of her life. I would like to thank everyone. So much love.

We are very happy with the care and support provided to our family member at Nunthorpe Oaks. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and all areas of the building are spotless and inviting. Staff have gone above and beyond to provide care at whatever level is required and are always willing to support family as well as residents. Facilities are good and activities are provided every day with opportunities to go out and about if appropriate. An excellent care home.

During December staff made lots of effort to provide a good atmosphere for all residents which Mum really enjoyed. Mum had a fall in late December and the staff went above and beyond to help her and stay with her until help arrived. I always find the staff helpful and friendly and willing to talk to me and answer any questions. Well done to everyone.

The staff are to be congratulated for all the care provided. Christmas and New Year were memorable with all the special decorations, excellent food, like a 4-star hotel and the Christmas and New Year parties. I have also enjoyed an outing to a particular place, the first time since February last year.

Mum recently suffered a fall and sustained a badly broken upper arm, for which the only treatment was to put the arm in a sling. The care and support from the team at Nunthorpe Oaks during this difficult time was amazing. So much so that we, the family, managed to salvage one week of a two week holiday, confident that Mum was in the best possible hands. Can't thank or praise them enough.

Super, friendly, supportive staff. Great communication between staff and family. Always plenty of activities going on. My mum is in a very big wheelchair and I am so appreciative that the carers will take her out shopping, making her feel great about herself. Huge thank you to everyone - just brilliant.

My mum has been a resident for nearly two years, during this time staff have always gone above and beyond to look after my mum. Praise to the deputy manager who is very approachable and, along with his staff, shows so much care and dedication to all residents. Thank you so much.

The home is very clean and tidy. Staff are excellent, any questions we ask are answered. Staff are very polite and helpful. Mam is very well looked after. Meals are excellent. Management are excellent. Really lovely home.

The care my mother receives in Nunthorpe Oaks is outstanding. The staff in the home are caring, sympathetic and respectful at all times. There always seems to be lots of activities going on in the home. The food is really nice and the room are lovely.

We visited our aunty to celebrate her 100th birthday. The people that were working at this care home were so friendly. They had put on a lovely party to help her celebrate and even provided a beautiful cake. It was my first visit but I was really impressed by this care home.

On our regular visits the staff are always courteous and helpful. Our family member is always given full attention and care whatever she requires. No requests are turned down and there is thoughtfulness, dignity and respect at all times.

Overall the care, facilities, activities and staff are good. My father says the food has improved recently but before that not enough variation in the menu. Most desserts are served with cream, the goujons too hard to chew and how about a little more fish/seafood on the menu?

I find everything 1st class, lovely and friendly staff.

I hope you don't mind that this is rhyme, it's what I have now done for a while. I can now safely say my review is ok and hope it makes you smile. The head of the workforce and deputy to are always attentive to the staff. The carers are also second to none, they are dutiful, helpful and laugh. Even the cleaners that come in each morn are willing to do what they must. By the time we arrive it's all spic and span and we know what they've done we entrust.

I like being with other people and socialising with other residents in the home.
