Staff are excellent and friendly. Mum was there for respite, staff looked after her very well, introduced her to some ladies who were very friendly with her and made the whole experience less daunting. Staff were really friendly with the rest of the family. Medication was ordered promptly and picked
up by staff. Highly recommend. Plenty of activities.

After reading amazing reviews regarding Brownlee court we jumped at the chance to put my mam in here for some respite.
Upon Arrival my arrival I was shown to my mam's room 72. We were sat in the room for over an hour only seeing the nurse to discuss her medication and DNAR. No one welcomed us, showed
us around or helped settle my mam in. Leaving a loved one in a nursing home for the first time is daunting and family need reassurance that they are going to be looked after but sadly this was not the case. We felt uneasy and unsafe to leave her there. The room was dirty/unkept, I understand that part of the home my mam was staying in was getting a refurb but if the room wasn’t ready it should never have been offered to us, it had stained carpets and battered-up furniture. The manager offered to clean the carpet but we had already made our mind up that we were not leaving her there. We were told my mam would be close to the nurse's station as she was a falls risk, this was also not the case.

I have had to come back to Brownlee because I was falling a lot - I couldn't cope.

My mother was a resident until her death last year. She was looked after by wonderful staff who were lovely to family as well as Mam. Since her death my friend has gone into care, so now I go and visit her. She loves Brownlee Home and the staff. The food is always amazing, the cleaners do an excellent
job and the staff, well, I can't explain how wonderful they are.

Mum has been at Brownlee for seven weeks now after a sizweek stay in hospital with a broken hip and her previous care home unable to meet her needs due to the progression of her dementia. I was very apprehensive about the move but the change in her has been incredible. The staff here are absolutely
wonderful and for the first time in any care setting mum has built relationships with them and I genuinely feel like they care, it’s so much more than a job to them. Hearing a staff member say they have hugged your relative when you can’t be there yourself makes such a huge difference to the weight we all carry having a loved one in a care home. Mum is always clean, warm and has gained almost a stone in weight which is a miracle. Although her dementia can sometimes be challenging it is recognised as an illness not an inconvenience. The staff always have time to speak to me when I call which living 70 miles away means a lot to me. Just a lovely place, just wish you were closer!

I am the daughter of one of the residents in Brown Lee Court, the care given to my mum is excellent, mum is very happy living in Brown Lee Court, she is always well dressed and clean, she is also beginning to join in some of the activities which must of been difficult for the activities coordinator
to coax mum as she likes her own company, so it’s lovely to see mum joining in and enjoying herself with the other residents, it amazes me how she has gone from being very anxious ,when she first went into the home to being settled, the carers all take time to talk individually by name to all the residents. The cleanliness of the home is exceptional, friendly staff and always happy and smiling, all mums care needs have been met and she has gone from sitting in her room when she first arrived to being in a lounge and dining room with other people, well done Brown Lee Court.

Brownlee Court and their staff have been a great support for myself and my family since my mam had to go there. My mam has been doing great these last few months, there is always plenty of activities for the residents to do and they all seem to enjoy it! We are updated on most days of their day to
day sessions and the wellbeing of my mam. She is being well looked after and kept in a good clean environment with lots of delicious-looking food that's on their menu. We can contact Brownlee Court if we have any queries day or night and the staff are always obliging and friendly.

My Dad went to this care home after being in hospital. He is not the easiest person to care for as he is very weak and needs assistance with everything. Whilst being there he has gained 8lbs in weight which is nothing short of a miracle as we could get him to eat very little. The staff here are very
pleasant and seem to really care for the residents. They show an interest in the residents past, likes and dislikes and try to cater to their personality. I would highly recommend this home as you know your loved one is getting the best care possible.

My father moved into Brownlee Court in October 2020. He wasn't a well man mentally.
What the staff have done for our dad is amazing. They have all persevered with him and we are eternally grateful to all the staff for giving us our happy jolly dad back. I would highly recommend Brownlee Court to
potential residents and families. There is always something going on to stimulate and keep residents entertained and they genuinely do care for residents.

I had a few issues at the beginning of Dad being in the home, I think it was I couldn't believe my dad was going into a home and I was a shock. I’ve always been treated with kindness and respect when visiting my uncle. The home is always clean, tidy and no smell of anything. Rooms are pleasant and homely and residents seem to be happy and well cared for, always clean and presentable. Thank you for all the care you give my gorgeous uncle. I
do miss him not being able to see or talk to him. Please tell him I send my love and best wishes and will be up to see him as soon as restrictions are back to normal.

Would like to thank all the staff for looking after my dad, along side other residents. A big thanks to the activities lady for the picture and poem just before Christmas. Love seeing pictures on Facebook of Dad and the things you are doing with everyone to make this difficult time of lockdown easier.

The care my lovely mam receives is the best care I could ask for, we have peace of mind knowing she is so well looked after. In the hard time's everyone is going through at the moment, Mam is safe she is definitely loved by everyone. I can't thank them enough.

My nana is currently a resident here and I follow the activities she is up to on Facebook. I live hundreds of miles away and it is lovely to see all of the updates on the Facebook page. The staff interact with us family members and keep us informed of all the fun activities taking place - bingo, dancing
and baking to name a few. It’s lovely to see almost daily pictures of my nana. Keep up the awesome work and thank you.

I follow Brownlee Care home on Facebook as my nana is a resident and I have to say I think it looks brilliant, the activities they do for the residents plus get all residents involved too. I think is fabulous. The food always looks great too with a great menu. The parties, the bingo, dancing, singing,
baking, colouring it sure looks like the residents are having a good time.
I love seeing pictures on their Facebook page of my nana as I live so far away it's a great way to keep in touch too. The staff always look and seem happy which I think is key to this job. They keep the morale high and make sure our family members are enjoying the rest of their lives.
For that, I thank you Brownlee staff.

Brownlee Court staff are always doing activities with my nana and asking her family about her likes, so they can cater to her specifically. They keep the family updated through social media and messaging, which is brilliant for us families who live hundreds of miles away. Nana always looks happy and
entertained and I'm so glad she is getting such wonderful care from a team who treat her like family. They truly are a great team, doing brilliant work under normally difficult circumstances, but these are even more challenging times and they are doing amazingly. Thank you for looking after my Nana. She's precious.

My uncle has flourished since he began care with Brownlee Court. He loves the food (he has put weight on), the staff are loving and caring. The home puts on fantastic, stimulating activities. They have been really supportive with visiting over the crisis and taken excellent precautions to keep my uncle
safe. He could not be in a better place.
