My nana was a resident of Aspen Court for almost four years before she recently passed away.
I cannot commend the staff and the manager, Leigh, enough. They cared for my nana as if she were family and became a sort of family to us as well.
They ensured she was happy, comfortable, and loved until the
end, despite her having a difficult illness. The respect and dignity they gave her, even when she was at her most vulnerable, truly shows the compassion and kindness at the heart of their ethos.
As well as caring for her, the staff extended that same care and support to us as a family.
I cannot recommend this home enough for anyone whose loved ones need care.
Reply from Leigh Brown, Manager at Aspen CourtThank you for your kind words and recommendation. It was a privilege to care for your nana during her time with us at Aspen Court. We are honoured to have supported her and your family, and we are pleased that you felt she was treated with the dignity, compassion, and respect she deserved. Your feedback means a great deal to the entire team, and we will cherish the memories of your nana. With sincere condolences and best wishes to your family.

My mam was a resident of Aspen Court Care Home for nearly four years before she sadly passed away at the end of May. I truly cannot find the words to express just how deeply grateful I am to each and every member of staff.
The kindness, compassion, and genuine love she received throughout her time
there was nothing short of incredible. It brought us so much comfort knowing she was surrounded by such caring people who always went above and beyond-not only for her, but for our whole family as well.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you to Leigh and the entire team. Your dedication and warmth will never be forgotten, and we will always be grateful for everything you did.

My Mam came to Rosewood after a hospital stay in early March. She was very resistant to the thought of care but it was becoming unsafe for her to stay living independently.
Our initial impression of Rosewood was very positive and this has continued to be the case. The home itself is very good. The
staff and management team are very approachable and nothing is ever too much trouble. Each room is spacious, clean and can be decorated to add a personal touch to make it feel like home.
The food is good and plentiful with a lot of choice. The activities on offer are always good fun and my Mam certainly enjoys them.. The residents have a bit of pampering too and a hairdresser is on site which Mam takes full advantage of.
The staff are wonderful with her and she's very fond of them. Thank you to everyone who has made this transition easy for all of us.

I'm indeed very grateful for the outstanding care my former manager receives here. From his very first day he moved into your care home, the staff went above and beyond to make him feel welcome, safe, and deeply valued. The clinical care is flawless, but it is the emotional support that truly sets this
home apart. The nurses and carers treat every resident with the utmost dignity, patience, and genuine affection. They don't just manage his medical needs; they know his personality, his favorite music, and how he takes his tea.
Communication with our family is excellent, proactive, and transparent. The facility itself is spotlessly clean, bright, and vibrant, featuring a fantastic daily activities, programme that keeps residents engaged and happy. True be told, choosing this care home by his immediate family has given us complete peace of mind, knowing that our jolly good fellow is thriving in a warm, loving environment. Thanks Brownlee court and keep the ship sailing.

My mam and dad were residents of Brownlee Court Carehome from 2023 to December 2024 for mam Vera and March 2026 for dad William (aka Bill). The support and care for my parents was fantastic from staff, management and cleaners. I felt that they both were highly thought of throughout the carehome which
I'm forever grateful for. Thanks very much indeed to everybody.

We couldn't be happier with her care.
She has enjoyed some of the daytime activities, I am sure with time she may go on outings too.

My 93yr old father lives with me and when in the past I brought up the topic of respite he would immediately go into panic mode, that was until he went to Rosewood House, now whenever I mention respite the first thing he says is " Only if I can go back to Rosewood" . I would never try to get him into
another home now, I would rather change my dates than send him elsewhere. The following are dad's words about his recent stay.
I have been in other care homes in Gateshead but Rosewood is by far the best. The food is excellent, always a choice at each meal and a good variety throughout the week. The carers are very helpful and friendly as are the management. Even though I prefer to stay in my own room, only mixing at meal times, I appreciate the help I get and the fact that carers come along for a chat when they aren't
too busy. The rooms are lovely, comfortable and clean, a cleaner coming in every day and having my own bathroom is great. Thank you for another happy stay.
Reply from Janette Malham, Manager at Rosewood HouseThank you so much for your kind comments, we aim to ensure that all the people who come into Rosewood receive best possible care. We look forward to your next happy stay.

I first became acquainted with Aspen Court on16th of February this year when my 97year old mother- in- law was transferred there after a two day stay in hospital. She was well enough to leave hospital but unfortunately not well enough to return home.
Shortly after 6.30pm I received a phone call from
a senior member of staff at Aspen Court reassuring me that my relative had just arrived safely and was in good spirits settling into her room. Staff were organising some hot food and drink for her as she's had a long wait at the hospital for transport.
This simple little phone call meant the world to me as it emphasised she was in loving, caring hands immediately. The care and attention she receives from all staff that I have witnessed on my visits is heart warming and genuine. She has been in Aspen Court now for just over 6 weeks and is always perky and full of stories between her and her carers. Aspen Court has brought the spark back to her eyes and she is enjoying her new home.

I would like to share some feedback about my mum's home and the exceptional standard of care she receives.
As an only child living nine hours' drive away from mums home it is incredibly hard for me to leave my mum each time I visit as I am sure you can imagine and it's even harder knowing that because
of her dementia, as she no longer recognises me however close we are, however, I take enormous comfort in knowing that mum is surrounded by such compassionate, dedicated and genuinely caring staff.
Every single member of the team treats my mum with kindness, dignity, and respect, It truly feels as though they all love her, and in her own way, I know she feels safe, happy and cared for, that reassurance means more to me than I can ever put into words.
The staff go above and beyond in every way, they keep me constantly updated with regular phone calls and communication regardless of how busy they are and whatever situations they are having to deal with, which makes such a difference w

My brother spent over two years here with advanced Parkinson's Disease, and he was always treated with kindness and dignity. The staff were patient, compassionate and attentive to his comfort throughout.
We felt supported as a family, and the gentle care he received in his final weeks meant a great

We are sincerely grateful and would confidently recommend this home to others.
