Brownlee Court staff are always doing activities with my nana and asking her family about her likes, so they can cater to her specifically. They keep the family updated through social media and messaging, which is brilliant for us families who live hundreds of miles away. Nana always looks happy and entertained and I'm so glad she is getting such wonderful care from a team who treat her like family. They truly are a great team, doing brilliant work under normally difficult circumstances, but these are even more challenging times and they are doing amazingly. Thank you for looking after my Nana. She's precious.

My uncle has flourished since he began care with Brownlee Court. He loves the food (he has put weight on), the staff are loving and caring. The home puts on fantastic, stimulating activities. They have been really supportive with visiting over the crisis and taken excellent precautions to keep my uncle safe. He could not be in a better place.

Brownlee Court is an amazing care home, my nana has been here now for about 3 months and we were so worried she wasn't going to settle as she really didn't want to go to a home but she is doing amazing! When my nana moved in we couldn't go see her due to covid which was hard but the updates from the Facebook page and the numerous times family members have called have been very reassuring. I went to visit my nana for the first time last week at the window and was so nervous but so pleased to see her, she looked incredible! So much healthier and happier than I've seen her in a long time. She had loads to talk about and you can see she enjoys being there. I cannot thank the staff enough at Brownlee Court they have just been amazing. And made this whole process easier. I look forward to the day I can go and visit my nan in her room and give her a massive hug but until that day I am content and reassured by the amazing care she gets, I would 100% recommend this care home to anybody and am thankful.

I am writing this review as my mother-in-law is a resident in the care home. We are on the Facebook page as we live 300 miles away, it is fab that we can see what is going on every day which is great. Dancing, bingo, birthdays and singing, it is just fantastic to see. My husband phones and speaks to his mum every week and hopes we can get up to see her once this Covid is over or even before Xmas, fingers crossed. We have spoken to the activities coordinator and the nurses who sound amazing. I think my mother-in-law has settled in so well; she loves it there. Well done to all staff, I take my hat off to you all. Love from me and my hubby. Stay safe.

Dad has been in the home over a year now. He was initially downstairs but the environment wasn't meeting his needs, he was moved to the upstairs unit and this meets his needs well. He loves company and joining in activities. It's lovely being able to see the pictures of him being involved in the activities posted on the Facebook page.

Brownlee Court is a large, spacious home with lovely rooms. During this difficult time it is so good to see the care and attention my dad is receiving with updates on Facebook about the activities he is taking part in. Having worked in care home health and safety (for a different company) covering well in excess of a 100 homes for over 10 years, the effort made to keep the residents occupied and engaged is right at the top end of the scale. Although visits have been restricted, when I have visited sometimes the staff were not aware I had arrived and came into his room very cheerful and talking to Dad with respect and as an adult which sadly is not what I have always witnessed elsewhere. Well done to all but especially the Activities Coordinator.

Brownlee Court is a fantastic care home, all their staff go above and beyond for all their residents, they are caring, friendly and very professional. Brownlee Court make the family and friends of the residents feel very at ease and kept well informed on the welfare of their residents. Brownlee Court is a very welcoming care home, I would recommend Brownlee Court to other people who are looking for a care home for their loved ones.

Our mam has been a resident for about the last six months, she found it upsetting and hard to settle, but the last few months she’s doing great, the regular messages, updates and pics have put us all at ease. She looks great and seems loads happier, all of you should give yourself a pat on the back, you're all stars. Thank you.

My father-in-law moved to Brownlee about 2 months ago due to his dementia and delirium diagnosis.
The staff are all amazing and go above and beyond. Even though we can't visit at the moment we get regular photo updates and can see he is settled in enjoying lots of activities and even having a dance. The home asked us to drop off his cd player and opera music as felt it would help him. They sent a video to us of him enjoying relaxing too his favourite music and it was heartwarming in these difficult times.

Fantastic team and we can relax knowing my father-in-law is in good hands thanks to everyone.

My mum has only been at Brownlee Court for a short while, she found the initial settling in very difficult but the staff have been nothing but amazing. They are more than happy to take phone calls to give updates on Mum's progress. Not being able to visit due to COVID, it is lovely to see daily updates via Facebook and the activities that are planned are amazing. My mum always looks happy and entertained, this is due to the effort put in by all staff. I knew Mum's transition into a care home was going to be difficult but Brownlee Court have made this a much less stressful experience and I thank them all from the bottom of my heart.

My pops is a resident and I can honestly say that since his dementia picked up pace I have never seen him happier. The care he receives on the unit is extraordinary. He has so many activities to keep him occupied, the staff are completely engaging with him and seeing his little smiley face on the Facebook page makes my day. It's been so hard since March with the restrictions, and not being able to visit, but I have complete comfort knowing he is well cared for and he has a family in your setting when we can't be there for him. Thank you for all your hard work and for your big hearts. I honestly feel this type of work is a vocation and not a job and I am incredibly impressed with every single staff member. Lots of love in these difficult times.

I feel my nana is not just well looked after, but genuinely cared for by the staff which puts my Mam, Aunty and all the family at such ease, especially after originally finding it very difficult to place nana into a home.

I’ve got to commend the whole team on the care for residents especially during COVID 19, the events have been fabulous to see and Facebook posts were an absolute godsend and emotional to see the residents having a wonderful time. My nana has ridden the COVID storm and is still going strong thanks to the care of Brownlee staff. Thank you!

I would highly recommend Brownlee Court Care Home, my father was placed there on a temporary basis after leaving hospital. We had no time to make any decisions on where he was placed, we were unable to visit during this time due to Coronavirus but staff made arrangements for FaceTime calls to be made which was great as we could see and speak to him and ask how he was. The 24-hour care that has been provided has been great, giving us peace of mind all is well. Every day there is entertainment arranged with all staff getting involved and all needs of the residents are met to a high standard, making their stay enjoyable. Whilst he has been there he celebrated his 80th birthday for which they decorated his room and provided food and drink to celebrate with him, we as a family very much appreciated what they did to make his day special. We feel that all staff will go the extra mile to make the residents and families welcome at Brownlee Court Care Home.

My dad was in this home with Alzheimer's dementia after things were getting difficult for mam. I went in 2 times a week, especially during this difficult time. All gowned/gloved/masked. The staff are all amazing. They are truly angels. They kept us updated with dad. Not enough staff at the home, all staff worn out and trying to cope with all their roles. Every day is different for them all, sometimes they do have a little respite but not often. More and more pressure for them. Having worked as a carer and in a hospital, know that all staff are caring and give their all. Immense praise to them all.

When going to the nursing home to visit my father-in-law I always find the staff extremely friendly and helpful, the level of care my father-in-law receives is second to none. I can't thank the staff enough for all the hard work they do. My father-in-law is very settled here, he gets along with the staff, so we know he is in safe hands which makes us feel that we don't have to worry about him. If any problems appear, ie. if Dads not well or anything, they always get in touch and let us know straight away. Thanks to everyone at Brownlee Court.
