My mum is well cared for my the staff. Staff are professional but also approachable/caring/friendly. My mum engages in lots of opportunities/activities that are run regularly by Park House. The residents are able to go ice skating, dancing as well as activities in the home. The care staff have built
up a relationship with my mum and are aware of her personal attributes and encourage these. Park House is clean and feels more like a family home. The food is varied and the residents have daily choices. Health care wise the home has regular visits from outside agencies to make sure the care is of high quality. The home keeps family members informed of anything that has been discussed. family members are welcomed to the home and treated like part of the family. This is so important as it is a hard decision to make when a family member goes into a home. I feel 100% confident and happy my mum gets the care she is needs. This is essential when you live a distance away.

My mum has been a resident at Park House for nearly 4 years. In all the time she has been there I have not had any concerns about her care. I have been kept informed of changes in her medication and any support that has been put in place for her. The support/care she receives is excellent. The manager
and staff are approachable and take time to discuss my mum's care and how she has been.
Park House has always and still feels like home. I feel that my mum is part of one big family which includes the other residents, manager and staff. It is a place where I feel welcome and love visiting.
My mum's room and all the communal rooms are clean and tidy.
The food and choice of food is excellent.
There is a weekly timetable of events/trips/visits.
I am so glad we chose Park House as I feel I can relax knowing my mum is receiving excellent care but still being able to have some independence. I would recommend Park House to anyone looking for a care home for a family member.

Park House is a friendly and welcoming care home. My mum came to live here almost a year ago. She was slow to settle as she is fiercely independent and wanted to be at home but the staff were so kind and reassuring that she now feels safe and happy to be one of the residents. She is well cared for and
has made some lovely friends. She enjoys helping with the activities and going on their little trips out. She enjoys the food but her appetite is small. I would recommend Park House to anyone looking for care for a loved one.

Both my parents and auntie are residents at Park House care home and I wouldn't place them anywhere else. The care they receive is excellent. The staff are all friendly, approachable and professional and nothing is too much trouble. There is always something going on to keep the residents entertained.
Park House is just a lovely small family run care house with a lovely welcoming atmosphere. I cannot speak more highly of this care home.

My grandmother has been a resident at Park House for a few years. This is a perfect, caring and family friendly setting where all the staff, no matter their role, care for my gran like she is their own relative and with the utmost dignity and respect. They go above and beyond to meet her needs and think
of activities which appeal to every single resident's needs, likes and dislikes. I would wholeheartedly recommend Park House to anyone. 5 star care always.

Since my mum entered Park House, the change in her has been remarkable. Her quality of life has improved. The level of person-centred care is second to none as the staff have really endeavoured to find out about her likes and dislikes from day one. When visiting, the atmosphere is very welcoming and
it is a pleasure to be there, joining in all the many varied activities. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. It gives me and my family great peace of mind knowing she is being so well cared for.

I can not fault Park House.
The care my mum receives is fantastic, all the staff are so friendly and get to know the residents individually.
The meals are all cooked on-site with the resident's likes and dislikes catered for and there is always something going on for the residents to get involved
in. I feel so happy knowing that Mum is really well looked after.

Current Review Score: 10.0 (9.993)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.993) out of 10 for Park House is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 26 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 26 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.993 for Park House is calculated as follows: ( (293 Excellents x 5) + (2 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 295 Ratings = 4.993
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Park House is based on 26 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 18 registered maximum number of service users is 3.6, which has been reached with 26 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
