The wonderful staff at Croft Avenue really make my sister feel comfortable. Whenever I speak with her she has nothing but praise for the place she now calls home, and we, her family, can't thank everyone enough for the great work they do making her home such a happy place.

My father-in-law recently moved into Croft Avenue Care Home and he can't speak highly enough of his new home. He enjoys the food, friendly staff and seems very happy with the care he receives. He also talks about how nice and homely it is inside (although I've not been in myself due to the current restrictions).
I can however say that when I visited him in the lovely gardens a couple of weeks ago the staff were happy, friendly and seemed to be pretty on the ball with all the checks they have to do at the moment with the rules around Covid.
I would happily recommend this home to anybody looking for somewhere to look after their loved ones.

My father came to Croft Avenue for respite care after falling badly and spending six months in hospital. All the staff were very welcoming and helped him to settle in quickly. After a couple of weeks, he decided to stay here as he was so well looked after. There were all sorts of activities to look
forward to and plenty of company from both staff and other residents. As my father became more frail, the staff were really good at keeping in touch and making sure I knew how he was day to day. Under Covid restrictions, I wasn't able to visit so it was important to have good communication. I can't stress enough how kind, thoughtful, loving and supportive everyone is at Croft Avenue, both to residents and their families.

This is a wonderful care home with lots of character. My aunt is very well cared for and happy living at Croft Avenue.
The rooms and common areas are well kept and clean and talking to my aunt and other residents they seem happy with the food although I have not eaten it myself.
The range of activities
are stimulating and the atmosphere in the home is happy with plenty of laughter from both residents and staff. Most importantly, the staff are attentive, friendly and patient. When my aunt lived in her own house she had become lonely and nervous, here however she has a new lease of life. We are so happy she is being so well cared for in this lovely place.

The staff and care given is really good. They are all very friendly and helpful. The furniture in the lounge and dining room is very worn and badly needs replacing. The food is really good and always plenty of it.

I am writing this for the gentleman I booked into the care home after he had fallen and was in hospital for two weeks. The manager came to the hospital, talked him through things and asked about his likes and dislikes etc
He was to be in the home for one week respite but we wanted it to be for longer
as it was so good. He found the constant droning of the dementia patients wearing.

My mum recently stayed at Croft Avenue during the later stages of her life. The staff were excellent throughout mum's stay and they made what was a very difficult time much easier. The whole team were professional, helpful and extremely caring at all times. They made mum feel safe which was really important
to her and supported our whole family throughout a very difficult time. The home had a lovely "family" feel to it and I would recommend Croft Avenue to other families.

I needed to find a care home urgently for my mother. In one week I visited, was greeted by extremely friendly efficient team and moved my mother in. The room is beautiful. Everyone has been so lovely and she loves the food. I live 300miles away so it is good to know she is in safe hands.

Mother had to come to you as an emergency for respite care which has now turned into permanent care. As we didn't know of your home until being in this position was very pleasantly surprised by the welcome and all facilities offered, which has subsequently meant we are very pleased she is able to stay
with you permanently. This is a big thing for a 97 year old to leave her home, but we are very happy with this solution. Staff, facilities and all that is offered is excellent. She couldn't be in better care.

Croft Avenue provides a very caring environment for my mother. The care staff are all very kind and caring. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. Staff are extremely welcoming and genuinely care for residents who are treated with respect. The home has a friendly feel and visitors are welcomed at any time.
Management are approachable and caring and it feels like a home from home.
I no longer worry about mum's health and well-being so we have
both found somewhere to take away the worry of coping with this stage of life.

Mum has lived here 3 years now and I have always been very happy that she is very much at home here.
The staff seem to go the extra mile to keep mum content. When she is poorly, they support me too, helping me though worrying times. There is a healthy, kind feel about Croft Avenue.

As a dedicated healthcare professional, Teresa brings a wealth of experience in providing high-quality care and nursing support to older people, enriching their lives and promoting their independence. A knowledgeable and compassionate leader, she is passionate about delivering the highest standards of care and enhancing the quality of life for all residents.


Teresa works closely with her colleagues to ensure care is delivered in a way that brings the greatest benefit to each individual, within a warm, welcoming, and homely environment. She is also committed to building strong community links, arranging events and activities with local schools and clubs, and encouraging the involvement of the wider community in daily life at Croft Avenue.


In July 2025, under Teresa’s leadership, Croft Avenue Care Home was inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and proudly achieved a ‘Good’ rating in all domains.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Teresa said:
“I just love to make a difference in people’s lives, no matter how big or small – it is such a fulfilling and heart-warming feeling.”
