With a team devoted to enriching the lives of their residents, Ashwood Park has a warm family feel the moment you walk through the door.

Providing residential, nursing, dementia and palliative care, the team also offers respite care breaks, which are ideal for family carers who would like to plan a short break themselves, knowing their loved one is in safe hands.

The team support the residents to play a very active role in how their home is run, and there’s a resident ambassador who provides feedback on everything from the menu to the activities on offer, as well as welcoming new staff and residents.

There are so many engaging activities, from baking and pamper sessions, with manicures and hand massages, to singalongs with the piano. The residents enjoy regular entertainers, who fill the home with music.

Mealtimes are a real highlight of the day, with the chef preparing delicious home-cooked meals and freshly baked cakes for afternoon tea.

Ashwood Park has a beautiful hair salon, for regular appointments with the mobile hairdresser, and there is a secure courtyard garden, home to ducks Pip, Hamish and Bonnie!   

There are so many spaces to relax with loved ones, who are welcome at any time, from the welcoming lounges and garden room to the café. And there is a private family and friends Facebook group.

The local community are embraced into life at Ashwood Park. Local school children regularly visit to enjoy activities and sing with the residents. And there are regular visits and outings with their fellow residents from Sanctuary Care’s neighbouring home.

Many of the residents love animals, so there are lots of visits from everything from dogs to animal therapy sessions with owls, guinea pigs and rabbits.

And there’s plenty to do outside the home, with trips to the Easington Beach, shopping centres, cafés, garden centres and the local school, the marina and pub lunches.

Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents and are subject to a pre-admission assessment, which is required to understand the level of care and support needed. Our 2025 weekly care fees for residential care start from £1126 and for nursing care £1334, but may be in the region of 30% more*. This depends on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options.

I would like to say how welcoming a particular member of staff is with staff and residents at Ashwood Park. He carried out a lateral flow test on me in order for me to visit my mother. Also on many other occasions when I have rung to speak to my mother he always has a nice manner. Another member of
staff, in particular, was also very caring with my mother.

I found the staff both day and night very good, always there when I needed them, always helpful in every way. The meals are tip-top and the rooms very clean and comfortable. Overall, I would class this as a four-star hotel.

I would like to say that the care my father received in the intensive care unit at Ashwood Park was fantastic; he always said the meals were lovely and the "girls" as he called all his carers were fantastic. I would highly recommend Ashwood Park as a wonderful caring place. Even through lockdown I was
kept informed and spoke to my dad weekly via the iPad. The care here is second to none

This has to be the nicest place I have ever stayed in re nursing care. The staff have bent over backwards to accommodate me. They are cheerful, helpful and caring to a point that makes me feel I am in a 5-star hotel. Nothing has been too much trouble for them. The food is all delicious and I have not

The staff are very caring and helpful. The food is ok. My Aunt was allowed a canary for a bit of company. Unfortunately, he was found dead in his cage today 10 February and she has received a lot of support during this time. Because she is in her chair over a 24 hour period seven days a week, means
the carers have a great deal to do to care for her, which they do. I was allowed to take my dog in to see her before the shutdowns, which she always enjoyed.

My mam has resided here since October 2020, and I couldn't be happier at the care and attention she gets. She is well-groomed, fed and looked after brilliantly, and is now so settled after suffering terribly after losing my dad. Would highly recommend this nursing home. Now having distanced visits in

I can’t praise all the staff at Ashwood Park enough, they truly go above and beyond to help and care. They were unbelievably amazing to us all during the end of life care for my father. Nothing was too much. I have to add under extremely extenuating circumstances the staff worked nonstop and still made
time to be compassionate and caring.

Mam was in Ashwood Park for respite care while we were on holiday, for almost three weeks, having previously been a resident when discharged from the hospital. During the first lockdown (covid-19), she was well treated by the staff, and we were confident that she was well looked after, which meant we

My wife has been a resident now for nearly four weeks and during that time we (my wife and I) have found the staff outstanding, not only in their professionalism but genuine care. Ashwood Park is clean (no smells), the food is excellent and I strongly recommend it to anyone who is unfortunate enough
to require constant care. There are carers and there are people who care. Ashwood Park staff are the latter.
