I’ve worked at Church View for more than 10 years in different roles. I came from school as a Lifestyle Coordinator, then moved into care, then admin to the Deputy Manager role and now the Home Manager. I’ve gained lots of knowledge about the needs of the residents over this time.
As Home Manager, you need to be friendly and approachable, have good knowledge around care and be able to make decisions in what can be stressful situations. It’s my job to make sure residents are happy, comfortable and all their needs are met.
Spending time with the residents, building relationships with them and seeing their smiles is still my favourite part of my role.
My colleagues make me proud through the hard work and excellent care they provide every day. I was also proud to be named Apprentice of the Year at the Care UK Stars Awards 2022.
If I'm not at work, I’m spending time with my two children.
