Langley House fees include:
-   Care coverage 24 hour 7 days per week, tailored to the needs of the Resident.
-   Furnished accommodation.
-   All meals and drinks.
-   In-house laundry service.
-   Weekly ward round from the local GP practice.
-   A key worker allocated to each resident for extra support.
-   All in-house activities organised to promote physical and mental wellbeing amongst Residents.
Additionally, Residents can request the following external services for an extra charge:

-   Vision and/or hearing visits
-   Dedicated dentist
-   Newspaper delivery
-   Subscription-based TV services
-   Trips and days out are subsidised through the Residents Fund, but may incur a small fee.

Lovely home, always clean, and the staff are all very kind and helpful. My Nanna enjoys the activities and enjoys taking part when possible. She enjoys being able to go in the bath and having the hairdresser come to do her hair.

What a beautiful care home. Could not praise this place enough my Nana feels right at home and so comfortable, happy, and well looked after.
The staff are so welcoming always welcomed with a smile and nothing is too much to ask.
Knowing my Nana feels at home, safe, and well looked after means a lot.

Lovely warm caring staff, my mother-in-law is very happy here and we now have peace of mind. The home is also dog friendly so we can bring our Cocker Spaniel in and the residents and staff love him.

My nana was in Langley House for a short time and received end-of-life care witch as a family we feel was amazing, the staff and management made sure she was comfortable and pain-free and treated with the utmost dignity and respect and us as a family were made to feel welcome day and night and always

Cannot say enough about Langley House, the staff and management are always on hand and can't do enough for my mam, she is always smiling and never has a bad word to say. She always has plenty of activities to do each day which she loves and her room is the best always clean and tidy and warm for her,
I can honestly say she is thieving in this home and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place where their loved one is happy and well looked after and treated as part on one big family.

This care home is the best one in the area, it's the only place where my mother-in-law has felt comfortable and happy. The staff are amazing right the way from management to cleaning staff, nothing is ever a problem and they can't do enough for you and the residents. Every time we visit the home is
always clean and smells lovely the rooms are really spacious and always lovely and warm, this place is definitely one that I would recommend for a loving caring home for your loved ones to stay.

Cannot fault the care our mam receives, it is one of the best care homes going and deserves the rating of outstanding. We as a family can go home knowing she is well looked after. They go above and beyond and staff are always friendly and caring. Management, we can't fault in any way, again they go
above and beyond. And always take pride in their job and do anything for the residents, there are always activities going on, and always see smiles on their residents' faces.

My uncle was in Langley House for 2 weeks respite, he loved his stay there very helpful and friendly staff can't wait to go back. Rooms were lovely and clean he loved the meals and enjoyed taking part in the activities.

Langley House has a great atmosphere with light and airy rooms. Staff are always smiling and nothing is too much trouble if you ask them for anything. My mam has been resident here for a few years and you feel welcome when you visit. Plenty of entertainment for the residents with trips out to various
venues or for ice creams at the seaside. We are very happy with the care provided.

My mum came into this care home two years ago. I have been extremely pleased with most things. I don't think I could have picked a better care home for her.
Most of the staff are extremely helpful, friendly and caring.

My mother-in-law just moved in here and the staff are very kind and respectful. The staff are very helpful. They help us with anything we need. He room is nice and spacious, the dining room is nice and they do lots of activities. My mother-in-law likes the meals.

I cannot fault the home, from day one management and staff have been so welcoming and friendly to Mam and our family. Mam has settled so well, nothing is a bother for any of the staff. The food is lovely. It is such a pleasure to visit there. I would highly recommend Langley House.

The nursing home is very nice. My mother's bedroom is always nice and tidy. The staff members are very friendly and helpful and there is a nice garden for my mother to sit out in. I'm glad she's finally happy now where she is, thank you.

I am happy at Langley House. Staff are so good, they are always there for you. They even come in during the night to see you are alright. I feel safe here as I fall often. The manager is a lovely lady. You can even go and see her any time. Nothing is a bother to her. 10 out of 10.

I have worked in the care sector since the age of 18. I completed a Health and Social Care course in sixth form and completed a 6-week placement in a care home, and from then I knew working in care was what I wanted to do. I started as a Care Assistant and progressed to Senior Care then Deputy Manager then Manager. I have completed my GNVQ in Health and Social Care, I have my NVQ levels 2, 3, 4 and 5. I started for Ascot Care in 2007 as Senior Carer then Deputy Manager in 2009 till I progressed to Home Manager of Langley House in 2022.


During my 2 years at Langley House, we have gone from “requires improvement” to “Good” in all areas, and we are the first home in the North East to be a Veteran Friendly Accredited Home, which is an achievement.

Kirsty Atkinson

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2021

I have worked at Langley House since 2010. I started as a Kitchen Assistant and worked my way up to Carer, Senior Carer and now Deputy Manager. I have my NVQ level 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care and I have my NVQ in Team Leading. When I started as a Kitchen Assistant it was lovely working with the elderly and made me want to progress in the care side, which I have loved over the past 14 years. We are the first home in the North East to be a Veteran Friendly Accredited Home, which is an achievement. I take a great interest in this as I have family in the service, and it has been very rewarding to complete this accreditation.
