Langley House is a lovely friendly place, great staff, good accommodation, good food, lovely and warm, great activities to keep the residents busy and active. A really good place to be! They take them to the beach out on activities and to places to see. Good atmosphere!
They're so kind, patient and helpful and take such good care of the residents. Although he has only been there a short time, they have helped make him feel very welcome. The food is great and plentiful. There was something going on to entertain the residents every day in the run up to Christmas. Some of the local children came in to sing carols, there was a nativity play and an Elvis tribute to name but a few things. It's so nice to see the smiles in so many faces. Let's hope it continues.
Brilliant care home! Staff couldn't do enough for the residents and their families, they are all lovely and friendly and treat my nana great. The home is spotless and has everything that my nana needs. My nana loves the food she always says she gets well looked after.
Over the moon with the service provided couldn't recommend enough.
Very happy with the care mam receives. Staff are very friendly and polite and always seem to get mam engaged with all the activities despite her dementia which she enjoys. The home itself especially her room are always clean and tidy.
Mother loved her time in this home, she found it hard to leave her home of 60 years but the staff and home could not do enough for her, unfortunately, we lost Mother on January 24, but just to say her final days were made as good as we could have wished.

Meet the Team (2)

I have worked in the care sector since the age of 18. I completed a Health and Social Care course in sixth form and completed a 6-week placement in a care home, and from then I knew working in care was what I wanted to do. I started as a Care Assistant and progressed to Senior Care then Deputy Manager then Manager. I have completed my GNVQ in Health and Social Care, I have my NVQ levels 2, 3, 4 and 5. I started for Ascot Care in 2007 as Senior Carer then Deputy Manager in 2009 till I progressed to Home Manager of Langley House in 2022.
During my 2 years at Langley House, we have gone from “requires improvement” to “Good” in all areas, and we are the first home in the North East to be a Veteran Friendly Accredited Home, which is an achievement.

I have worked at Langley House since 2010. I started as a Kitchen Assistant and worked my way up to Carer, Senior Carer and now Deputy Manager. I have my NVQ level 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care and I have my NVQ in Team Leading. When I started as a Kitchen Assistant it was lovely working with the elderly and made me want to progress in the care side, which I have loved over the past 14 years. We are the first home in the North East to be a Veteran Friendly Accredited Home, which is an achievement. I take a great interest in this as I have family in the service, and it has been very rewarding to complete this accreditation.
