Excellent care. Lovely staff and nothing is too much trouble.
The nursing home is very nice. My mother's bedroom is always nice and tidy. The staff members are very friendly and helpful and there is a nice garden for my mother to sit out in. I'm glad she's finally happy now where she is, thank you.
From what I have seen I am impressed with the home.
Langley House is a caring care home. Everything from cleaning of rooms is excellent, the food, all meals are excellent also. Entertainment is provided for all and most of us join in if we are able to. We have a motivator who certainly gets us all moving including armchair exercises. I certainly feel an improvement. They are lovely people, from staff to residents.
I am happy at Langley House. Staff are so good, they are always there for you. They even come in during the night to see you are alright. I feel safe here as I fall often. The manager is a lovely lady. You can even go and see her any time. Nothing is a bother to her. 10 out of 10.
I am a regular visitor to this lovely, vibrant home to see my friend who is a resident. The staff are always extremely friendly and very professional at all times. Nothing is ever a problem. The atmosphere is always bubbly and it is great fun to be in. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a comfortable, loving environment to live in. A pleasure to visit.

Mother-in-law had been in Langley for just over a year before her passing - friendly, approachable staff, clean and tidy rooms and plenty of activities and entertainment visits. Very relaxed atmosphere. Always greeted with a smile and a cuppa.

All of the staff in Langley House are very helpful and caring. They take care of my mother very well and always respond to any requests or concerns in a positive manner. The manager has a very positive approach to care and is often implementing changes to improve the service.

Very pleasant and helpful environment. Staff relationship is very good, during my mother's first two weeks here.
My mother has only been here a short while, but the staff are very friendly and helpful and have done so much to make my mother feel at ease. The room could be a little updated but is clean.
The care which has been given has been excellent. The staff go the extra mile looking after my husband feeding him and keeping him well groomed. He is very content. The home is extremely clean and well-kept, and his room is very homely. The staff are very caring, friendly and very approachable. We are hoping to continue using Langely House for further respite care in the future.
My aunty went into Langley House for respite care whilst myself and my wife had a holiday. Fantastic care was given overall. The staff and manager could not be more helpful. My aunty was eating three times a day and we could see on our return the improvements in her health. Well done to all the staff at Langley. My aunty enjoyed her stay very much.
All the staff are courteous and friendly and the home is extremely clean.
I am very happy with Langely House and more importantly, so is my father. All his needs are being met and he is very happy here which puts my mind at rest.
The staff are friendly when I come in and tell me if my husband has been for breakfast. The girl from the laundry asks if there are any clothes to be washed. In the room, he is brought coffee and biscuits and I'm offered a drink. This level of care happens any time of the day which is good.
Very friendly staff and management who make you feel welcome when you come to visit.
The Manager, staff (day and night) cooks and cleaners all do their upmost to care. Always have the resident's mental and physical needs at heart, doing their best however their hands are tied waiting for referrals eg. Physio's, Doctors etc. Unfortunately, the waiting times are weeks rather than days.

Meet the Team (2)

I have worked in the care sector since the age of 18. I completed a Health and Social Care course in sixth form and completed a 6-week placement in a care home, and from then I knew working in care was what I wanted to do. I started as a Care Assistant and progressed to Senior Care then Deputy Manager then Manager. I have completed my GNVQ in Health and Social Care, I have my NVQ levels 2, 3, 4 and 5. I started for Ascot Care in 2007 as Senior Carer then Deputy Manager in 2009 till I progressed to Home Manager of Langley House in 2022.
During my 2 years at Langley House, we have gone from “requires improvement” to “Good” in all areas, and we are the first home in the North East to be a Veteran Friendly Accredited Home, which is an achievement.

I have worked at Langley House since 2010. I started as a Kitchen Assistant and worked my way up to Carer, Senior Carer and now Deputy Manager. I have my NVQ level 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care and I have my NVQ in Team Leading. When I started as a Kitchen Assistant it was lovely working with the elderly and made me want to progress in the care side, which I have loved over the past 14 years. We are the first home in the North East to be a Veteran Friendly Accredited Home, which is an achievement. I take a great interest in this as I have family in the service, and it has been very rewarding to complete this accreditation.
