Dad has been in for 4 months and seems settled. The staff are extremely friendly, very approachable and aware of his habits and needs. The home is comfortable and clean and it is nice to know he is in a safe environment.
Lovely clean and bright home, staff and management are so friendly and helpful, plenty of activities and events. So pleased my nana is in Langley, they can't do enough for you and make us feel so welcome, highly recommend.
While my mother was a resident. She was treated very well by the great staff. She had her favourites but never had a bad word about any of them. She always complained about the food though. All in all, she was happy at the home.
On my last visit, they were having a Halloween party. Mam and many others were up dancing and singing, having a wonderful time.
All the staff are friendly and caring. I've noticed they're very efficient at getting all their residents up and into the dining hall at meal times, no matter what level of assistance the resident needs.
I've visited different days and times and I have always been welcomed by staff members and they are always on hand caring for their residents.
My mam was a resident in Langley House for around 4 months due to poor mobility and was in need of 24-hour care, first impression on visiting before Mam moved in to look around was polite, friendly and happy by all the staff, lovely spacious rooms, clean and well decorated, just ready to move in, the staff went above and beyond to help with her needs even at difficult times when Mam would tend to be stubborn and challenging. I would recommend Langley House for all care needs, the staff are amazing, thank you for all the love and care giving to my mam.
The staff are so welcoming always welcomed with a smile and nothing is too much to ask.
Knowing my Nana feels at home, safe, and well looked after means a lot.
Love seeing the photos of the activities they do with the residents, what a lovely place.
Lovely home, always clean, and the staff are all very kind and helpful. My Nanna enjoys the activities and enjoys taking part when possible. She enjoys being able to go in the bath and having the hairdresser come to do her hair.
Lovely warm caring staff, my mother-in-law is very happy here and we now have peace of mind. The home is also dog friendly so we can bring our Cocker Spaniel in and the residents and staff love him.
My nana was in Langley House for a short time and received end-of-life care witch as a family we feel was amazing, the staff and management made sure she was comfortable and pain-free and treated with the utmost dignity and respect and us as a family were made to feel welcome day and night and always looked after as well. Thank you to the management and the staff for everything.
This care home is the best one in the area, it's the only place where my mother-in-law has felt comfortable and happy. The staff are amazing right the way from management to cleaning staff, nothing is ever a problem and they can't do enough for you and the residents. Every time we visit the home is always clean and smells lovely the rooms are really spacious and always lovely and warm, this place is definitely one that I would recommend for a loving caring home for your loved ones to stay.
Cannot say enough about Langley House, the staff and management are always on hand and can't do enough for my mam, she is always smiling and never has a bad word to say. She always has plenty of activities to do each day which she loves and her room is the best always clean and tidy and warm for her, I can honestly say she is thieving in this home and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place where their loved one is happy and well looked after and treated as part on one big family.
My uncle was in Langley House for 2 weeks respite, he loved his stay there very helpful and friendly staff can't wait to go back. Rooms were lovely and clean he loved the meals and enjoyed taking part in the activities.
Cannot fault the care our mam receives, it is one of the best care homes going and deserves the rating of outstanding. We as a family can go home knowing she is well looked after. They go above and beyond and staff are always friendly and caring. Management, we can't fault in any way, again they go above and beyond. And always take pride in their job and do anything for the residents, there are always activities going on, and always see smiles on their residents' faces.
Langley House has a great atmosphere with light and airy rooms. Staff are always smiling and nothing is too much trouble if you ask them for anything. My mam has been resident here for a few years and you feel welcome when you visit. Plenty of entertainment for the residents with trips out to various venues or for ice creams at the seaside. We are very happy with the care provided.
Most of the staff are extremely helpful, friendly and caring.

Meet the Team (2)

I have worked in the care sector since the age of 18. I completed a Health and Social Care course in sixth form and completed a 6-week placement in a care home, and from then I knew working in care was what I wanted to do. I started as a Care Assistant and progressed to Senior Care then Deputy Manager then Manager. I have completed my GNVQ in Health and Social Care, I have my NVQ levels 2, 3, 4 and 5. I started for Ascot Care in 2007 as Senior Carer then Deputy Manager in 2009 till I progressed to Home Manager of Langley House in 2022.
During my 2 years at Langley House, we have gone from “requires improvement” to “Good” in all areas, and we are the first home in the North East to be a Veteran Friendly Accredited Home, which is an achievement.

I have worked at Langley House since 2010. I started as a Kitchen Assistant and worked my way up to Carer, Senior Carer and now Deputy Manager. I have my NVQ level 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care and I have my NVQ in Team Leading. When I started as a Kitchen Assistant it was lovely working with the elderly and made me want to progress in the care side, which I have loved over the past 14 years. We are the first home in the North East to be a Veteran Friendly Accredited Home, which is an achievement. I take a great interest in this as I have family in the service, and it has been very rewarding to complete this accreditation.
