Field View

I was admitted to Field View from the hospital on the 31st January 2022. I could not fault the home or the staff and I enjoyed my stay.

My mother recently had six weeks' rehab care after breaking her hip on Christmas eve. From the very first day she was made very welcome and comfortable and looked after to a very high standard. All of the staff were pleasant and helpful and nothing was too much trouble, even down to giving her a hug when she was feeling down! They really lifted her spirits. One day I video called her and the manager was styling her hair and the administration officer was sorting her phone! They gave her lots of attention and always had time for a chat, even when they were rushed off their feet.

My mother was admitted for convalescence following a fall and consequent hip replacement. She was discharged from North Tees into the Care of Field View and has asked me to comment on the wonderful, care and consideration she was receiving throughout the period of her stay. The manageress and all her employees, without exception, were mentioned for their professionalism, courtesy and genuine love. She has asked me to say that whilst she would have preferred not to be admitted (she's super independent) she is incredibly appreciative of everything that everyone did for her. She never felt she had been 'too much trouble'. Both my mother and my wife and I were really impressed and incredibly thankful we 'fell' into the hands of such a super team. Thank you all!

My dad had a couple of weeks respite in here. The staff were fabulous, nothing was too much trouble. The manager, in particular, went out of her way to sort the care out for me. It gave me and my family huge peace of mind. Dad is treated with dignity and respect.

Highly recommend Field View, very caring staff for the residents. Lots of entertainment and activities for the residents. They take care of my Nanna really well. We are so glad our mother had been here through this trying Covid period as we know she has been very well looked after. High praise to all the staff, many thanks.

Field View gives me more peace of mind than I ever thought possible after making the hard decision to move my mother into full-time care. The staff treat residents like family members and go out of their way to ensure the comfort and safety of all residents. My mother has been here for several years now and I hope she continues to thrive.

Since my dad was admitted to Field View, the staff have been fantastic with him. Always very helpful when I phone to ask how dad is. Overall I am very happy with how my dad is being cared for.

My aunt did not want to come to a care home. However, she was unable to live alone any longer. She has now settled into Field View and joins in activities. She is well cared for and looks much happier than when she was living alone.

The home is well kept and clean with fresh decor. The communal areas are lovely and clean and tidy. The staff are very friendly and approachable and treat the residents with respect.

The staff are extremely friendly and work hard, but the home is understaffed, which is a shame. The home is clean and well run. The office staff are very approachable and knowledgeable.

I was at Field View care home for four weeks, on arrival I was shown to my room and there was a card and two gifts. The card said 'welcome to your new home, we want you to feel at home' and I did. Nice room. All the staff were professional and also very friendly, caring and cheerful. Everyone of the staff looked after the residents as if it was their own mother, father etc. I would send any of my family and would trust the staff to look after them. I cannot praise all the staff highly enough. If any care homeowners want to run a rest home, go no further than Field View as an example. I would like to say a big thank you to you all.

My mam is completely happy with her lovely, light and comfortable room where she brought her own favourite chair from home - she has her own ensuite and can choose whether to join the rest of the residents for meals or eat in her room. We have been so surprised at how well she has settled in and she loves the staff and has become noticeably happier, telling me 'they are always there' and 'they're all lovely'. I can't recommend the staff and the care at Field View enough.

My mother has been a resident at Fieldview for some time and has always received a very good standard of care. During these more recent challenging months the level of care given to her has not diminished at all. Staff have continued to be attentive to her condition and needs and have continued to keep me informed of any changes throughout the lockdown period and beyond. I find their caring professionalism reassuring.
