I enjoyed my stay very much. I was cared for by a team of very good staff who were always very polite, kind and efficient.

Management checked regularly to make sure I was satisfied with my care.

Bedroom lights are very dim. Patio and paths need urgent attention. Food is ok but a bit bland and lacks choice. Could do with cups with larger handles i.e. mugs. Clients would find them easier to use and encourage hydration.

Overall staff work very hard to care for residents and relatives.

Reply from Jackie Brook, Care Relationships at Grosvenor Park Care Home

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear about the issues with the bedroom lights, patio, paths, and food options. We appreciate your suggestion about mugs with larger handles and will consider it to improve hydration. Your kind words about our staff mean a lot. Please speak with our manager directly so we can address your concerns promptly.

My wife has recently experienced slight swallowing difficulties. The Grosvenor Park team responded promptly and appropriately and arranged for a S.A.L.T team to visit and address my wife's problem. This resulted in an immediate adjustment to her dietary needs and has been implemented. After consultation, it has also been decided to transfer my wife by hoist, in order to secure her safety and that of staff.

Reply from Paul Millar, Marketing Manager at Grosvenor Park Care Home

Many thanks for taking the time to review our home. It is our pleasure to care for your wife. Your kind words are greatly appreciated and I will of course pass them on to the Riverside team.

Overall Experience

This care home is absolutely fantastic. They all really care about their residents, and the monitoring by seniors is spot on, with a brilliant teamwork structure in effect. The seniors go above and beyond their call of duty to ensure what needs to be done is done. My mum recently had a crisis, and the senior in charge, took full responsibility, and when unable to reach me by phone after calling four times went to my house and sent a family member of hers out to look for me, where she suspected I may be. Mum was taken to hospital after this staff member deemed it necessary to call emergency paramedics, and as Mum was extremely poorly, this was totally the right move. This was also the 2nd time a similar had occurred. All the staff are very aware and on the ball, and I am so glad I chose this home for my mum. The manager is also fully aware at all times of all that is going on, as seems very 'hands-on' and involved with both her staff and residents. Cannot fault this place at all. Perfect.

Overall Experience

I was admitted to care after the hospital discharged me and I was assessed as needing 24-hour care by Social Services. My experience at Grosvenor Park Care Home was excellent. All involved in my care have done their very best to look after me, for which I am very grateful. The manager was very careful to make sure my needs were met and went out of her way to help me many times. I am very grateful for her help and also for her administrator.

I had to place my mum into a home. Visited ten plus care homes in the area. Grosvenor was the home I felt happy with as safe, clean and tidy. Smiling staff and very helpful manager. Can always discuss decisions with staff and always get resolved. The excellent care received during Covid-19 has been very hard but know my mum is well looked after.
