The whole team are excellent. Any issues are dealt with quickly and efficiently. All of the staff are caring, kind and attentive. They resonate a really happy environment with enthusiasm. There are always loads of activities, which engage and stimulate elderly residents. I take comfort in knowing that

My friend is living in Barchester Station Court Care Home and the change made to her is remarkable. She is a version of her former self we thought was gone forever. Her room is perfect, beautifully furnished and with her own things making it feel just like home.
The staff strive to make Station Court
such a happy place to live. I have been unable to fault the standard of care, nothing is a problem. The activities on offer are fantastic with a range of activities so well thought out and such a variety that there always seems to be something going on. From singers and entertainers coming in to entertain them to trips out, the options seem endless. My friend has really come out of herself, making good friends and getting involved in the activities on offer (something we thought she would never do). She has become the person she had not been for some years.
The food is excellent and offers a variety of food to suit everyone. Station Court has turned her life around.

All staff have been very helpful to me and my mam. Staff listened to me and supported me with any questions I had regarding my mam's care. My mam has been included in all activities and has enjoyed them very much, especially being out in the garden.
Staff have welcomed all my family and friends, including
the family do, Rosie.

Our mam spent the last 18 months of her life at this home. Being looked after there the last months of her life were happier and more enriched, she made friends with other residents and staff, and from singing and dancing to crafting she was encouraged to stay active and social. She was very well cared
for by everyone. We are full of praise and very thankful for the help we were given to make her safe and loved.

My mum and dad moved into Barchester Station Court Care Home in October 2023 and they have had great care, the food is nice, the home is clean and tidy and the staff are always willing to help and assist - the activities are the best and always have good, planned personal events. I am reassured they
get the best care ever.

Sadly lost Father on Christmas Day 2023, the support that was given by Station Court was exceptional, this was very much appreciated.
In connection with the above Dad had been looked after well by all staff, this included domestics and kitchen staff, would not hesitate to recommend Station Court.

My mother has been a resident at Barchester Station Court Care Home for a few months now and me and my family are very happy with the excellent care she receives. All the staff that we have come into contact with, from all areas of the home, are friendly, helpful and extremely caring. It is great to
be able to visit at any time as there are no restrictions. The room is lovely and there is a good choice of food, which always looks very appetising. There are a range of activities on a daily basis and really well-organised, special events that friends and family can attend, which Mum has enjoyed. It is a very stressful time moving a loved one into a care home but the staff were so helpful and supportive to us and we felt very lucky to have such a lovely home nearby for Mum. A big thank you to everyone at Station Court for looking after Mum so well.

This is a great care home for my grandma, which really satisfies all of her needs and the care goes beyond my expectations. The manager and all the staff genuinely care for the residents, regardless of there job role. I cannot say enough good things about them all. It's like one big, friendly family.
The food is lovely and the activities are tailored to what the residents like and wishes and we have also been invited to join in the activities etc.

Barchester Station Court Care Home is a well-run home with lots of activities held on a regular basis. Staff are very hardworking and caring, trying as best they can to make this more like home living.
Only thing I would say is that there needs to be more communication between all staff members so
that everyone is in the loop.

Absolutely excellent, love joining in all the activities, so much fun with family quizzes and games.
Mam is always clean and tidy - outfits coordinated and well-presented. She loves having her hair and nails done in the salon. Staff are so caring, like an extended family. Nothing is too much trouble.

Thanks so much for your care for my sister for the past 3 weeks, she has been upstairs in the dementia unit and we have been really appreciative of your care for her. A special mention to the carers and also to another particular member of staff and cleaners. Also to the management for all your help
with her if we require a permanent room we will have no hesitation to place her back in your care. Thanks from the family.

Securing a place at Station Court Care Home was the best decision we have ever made. Watching mums struggle with dementia was heartbreaking but the transformation has been amazing. Thanks to the wonderful member of staff, there is always fun and stimulating activities and finally, we are seeing our

During this period, the home had an outbreak of stickiness and diarrhoea, which was very well controlled by staff. Residents were looked after with care. I'm not sure whether this is a staffing problem, but weekend care is okay but not as good as weekdays. Overall, I think the home is very well run,
and residents are looked after with respect and dignity in these very trying and difficult times.

My mother was with you for a month’s respite after a stay in hospital. She was treated with great kindness by all the staff who went out of their way to make sure she felt secure and happy. Her room was clean and warm; the food was excellent and plentiful; if she did not like what was on offer, the
staff were quick to suggest an alternative. If she ever needed to ring for assistance, staff responded promptly even during the night. She was anxious about going into a care home but after her time in Station Court, she would be happy to go there again. Thank you to all the staff.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.835) out of 10 for Barchester Station Court Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 28 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 28 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.835 for Barchester Station Court Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (280 Excellents x 5) + (40 Goods x 4) + (7 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 327 Ratings = 4.835
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Barchester Station Court Care Home is based on 28 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 64 registered maximum number of service users is 12.8, which has been reached with 28 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
