My mother died in Barchester Station Court Care Home on 7.6.21. Up until then, we had been told she developed Covid in October 2020. Throughout the pandemic, staff were proactive in keeping us in contact by organising and supporting her in video calls and later in helping with window and bedroom visits.
Her carers warned us of her incipient decline and supported her, and us, continuously throughout. They formed a guard of honour as her funeral passed the home. She was a friend and a respected resident, and we were very grateful for the care she received.

My dad has been in the home since October. He has made friends with the residents which are great as he is a loaner. He loves the meals at the home as dad has a problem swelling it is a process. He loves the care he is getting and gets on really well. He is well looked after.

My mother was only in Station Court for a short period but from the moment she went in until the time she left, the staff and management were both accommodating and very helpful. They kept me informed with regards to my mother's condition on a daily basis and were very caring and compassionate. I'd

My mam was a resident in Station Court Care Home for 2 years, she suffered from dementia. Although her time in care was a period of increasing frailty and dependence upon others to provide basic personal care and support, I was always comfortable and reassured by the compassion, emotional support, patience
and dignity shown to her. I always considered she was in good hands.

My mam has recently been very poorly she has been nursed back by the care and patience of the care home staff. Myself and her family were very well supported. My mam has been in Station Court for a number of years and I have always felt that she has been well looked after and safe. The manager is exceptional

I can thoroughly recommend this home. Mum was resident from February 2017 until she passed away on 10 April 2020. All staff were approachable, friendly, caring individuals who looked after mum as if she was their own. The home had a homely feel and kept clean and tidy and as well as caring for mum,
provided support to me too and made me feel very welcome. I send all the staff my best wishes for their futures. Thank you!

Today I received a postcard with a photo of my aunt on and with it a small heart on saying A little hug from me to you. It was a lovely surprise and to see her looking so well. I cannot praise the staff enough on how they have managed to keep the coronavirus out of the home. To know my aunt is safe
and well gives all her family peace of mind. She has only been there since January but the staff has helped her to settle in and the care she receives is amazing. Thank you.

The Manager at Station Court fosters a very open and compassionate culture within the home which he models to all members of his team. Consequently, the care and compassion shown to all who live in Station Court is excellent. Every member of staff is approachable, responsive to contact and shows awareness
of the best approach required for each individual resident. My 98-year-old father who has always been highly independent made his own decision to seek a residential home. We undertook a lot of research before he moved into the home. He has spontaneously said that he feels safe and well cared for, " I feel like a member of a family here at Station Court".
The excellent commitment at all times of the whole staff team is apparent for all to see, but within the very challenging context of Covid 19 it has proved to be superb.
We may not be able to visit at the moment but we have peace of mind that my father is safe and very much cared for by those who support his daily life. Excellent.

My mother has lived in Station Court Care Home for well over a year now. It was very difficult to hand over her care when she was no longer able to live at home. I looked at many homes, but I feel very sure that Station Court was the right choice for her. She has a very nice bedroom and bathroom, the
decor throughout the home is lovely, but more importantly, the care, consideration and respect she is given; is outstanding. She has dementia, and the carers and staff are professional, caring and knowledgeable. Trusting her care to Station Court has taken a great deal of stress away from me as I know my mother is safe and cared for in a very friendly and compassionate environment and I never believed I could be happy to leave her to be cared for by others.

We have no problem with Station Court and all seems well with food and cleanliness. The home is warm and welcoming. The only problems we may have had are normally sorted out with no fuss.

I visit my uncle, who is on the dementia unit, every week. I always feel welcome and the staff are very good with the residents. There are always activities going on. Also, seen recently, residents having a one-to-one with carers, which residents loved. Station Court is always kept to a clean, high
standard.

From management through to domestic staff, everyone is very professional but in a caring way. The home, whilst being very airy and spotlessly clean, has a homely feel. The carers interact with residents. I have seen them dancing with my husband while he plays his music. They handle his difficult behaviour
very well indeed. My husband has been in Station Court for five months and I am more than happy with my choice.

My Mother in Law went into the home for a week of respite care. The staff were very welcoming and friendly as she was very nervous. They bent over backwards to make her feel comfortable e.g. helping set up a TV for her. She was very happy with her stay and said when she was leaving that she would be
happy to live there! Oh, and she won't stop raving about the food.

Hello my name is Wendy and I am head housekeeper at Station Court care home.


I enjoy all aspects of meeting new people and have previously worked in retail working as a section leader and duty manager at department stores before joining the team at Station Court. My role is to ensure residents at Station Court have a safe, comfortable and clean environment to live in. The most important thing to me is the residents' wellbeing at Station Court.

David Thompson

Hi, my name is Dave and I am the Head Chef at Station Court Care Home.


I have worked in the hospitality sector for 30 years, completing my qualifications to be a chef in 1994 I have a wealth of experience as a head chef in both restaurants and care homes and look forward to being part of the team at Station Court.


I am passionate about food, especially creating show-stopping cakes and taking pride in producing the very best for our residents. My team cater for residents' individual dietary needs and ensures that our home-cooked menus with freshly prepared seasonal produce offer choice, nutrition and quality.

Hello, my name is Natasha and I am a senior carer at Station Court.
I have worked in healthcare settings for 18 years. I was a care assistant for 15 years and gained my qualifications and have worked as a senior carer for 3 years. I am currently working towards my NVQ level 4 in management.


I love helping people and get a sense of satisfaction from seeing how my care makes a difference to our residents lives.

Hello my name is Liam, I am a senior carer at Station Court. I began my career as a care assistant and worked my way up to a senior role gaining qualifications through Barchester.


The most important thing to me about my job is truly making a difference to the lives of the people I care for and support. I am a dementia champion and I am passionate about providing a fulfilling life for residents living with dementia on our memory lane community and supporting family members.

I have a vast experience and have worked for over 20 years in healthcare roles. I began my career as a housekeeping assistant, then moved on to a care assistant role and gained my qualifications to become a senior carer, a position I have held for 15 years.


I am very passionate about delivering person centered care and really getting to know the people I support and care for at Station Court care home.
