Extremely happy with care provided for Dad. He never wanted to be in a home so is not easy but all staff have been very patient with him. Look to find common ground/interests to discuss with him. Address daily issues with him, in a caring, dignified manner, seeking medical input as required and reacting quickly to our concerns/questions. Home is clean, welcoming, staff are all lovely. Include Mum (who has degree of memory impairement) in lunches/drinks etc. I can't thank everyone enough for everything. Very caring manager/staff.

The care and support my sister received was exceptional. I am a retired district nurse and have been in many nursing homes throughout my career and I can honestly say that Woodhorn Park Care Home in Ashington is one of the top care homes I have known. The care shown from the manager to the house keepers was exemplary, I cannot thank them enough.

I have had interaction with this care home since 2021 when my mum was a resident, with dementia, until her death in 2024 and now my aunt is a resident. My aunt became a resident in Feb, during her time she became ill,the care home staff quickly identified her illness and she was admitted to hospital. On her return she has thrived under the exceptional care of the staff from the manager, to maintaince, carers and housekeeping. She is now walking unaided, joins in with the varied activities laughing and enjoying life. Thank you Emma and everyone for giving us back our auntie!!

We were really nervous about leaving my mother in law for the first time but the manager and the team really made it easier. Nothing is too much trouble, all of the staff are brilliant and made her welcome. She's come back from a much needed respite happy and made some friends and we are so grateful.

My dad has Alzheimer's and mixed dementia. It was becoming increasingly difficult and unsafe for him to live independently in his own flat (even with a home care package). He loves it here. The staff are, without exception, very caring and understanding of his needs. The home is always immaculate, and very welcoming and inclusive. I am so happy in the knowledge that my dad is being looked after by the very best 'team'.

My mum recently had a six week respite stay at Barchester Woodhorn Park Care Home. This enabled Mum to recover from a long hospital stay in a safe, friendly, comfortable environment. When you first walk into the home, it has a lovely atmosphere, the residents look happy, the staff are helpful and friendly. The home is extremely clean, well-furnished and nothing is too much trouble should you need anything. I would like to thank the manager and all the staff at Woodhorn for taking such good care of my mum.

My mother-in-law has been at Barchester Woodhorn Park Care Home for thirteen years and is very happy there. Our father has been in the care home for over a year now after initially trying it for two weeks of respite previously. As his health diminishes, it's fair to say that he has been a bit of a challenge for everyone, but you have to give credit to the manager and her team for the patience they have displayed throughout. My brother and I can rest knowing that he is in very safe hands getting looked after in every way. The communication from the home is excellent, and we are always advised if there is any issue to attend to which we appreciate. Thank you.
