First of all, it's very difficult to enter these premises and depart. We rang the bell one day three times. On entering the premises it's very warm. As expected its an old building and probably cannot be updated. My mum was in respite for 1 week. Residents rooms are probably lovely but Mum's room was sparse. The food, which Mum didn't eat, was excellent but because of her condition at the time, she was unable to eat. Decor needs urgent attention.
I am very sorry to hear that your expectations have not been met at the Home and I would like to discuss the following three things
I was sorry to hear you had trouble entering and leaving the premises and I will address this by putting a notice upon the door to highlight which doorbell will...
My mother in law has been well cared for during her time in this care home. She has been encouraged to participate in mealtimes. She has been assisted with her care needs when at times this can be a challenging situation. All the staff I have had dealing with have been polite and friendly and helpful at all times. The manager especially has been very helpful and informative about my mother in laws situation.
They feed me and look after me and make sure I take my tablets. No complaints.
My mum loves it at Bron Haul. We have struggled for years trying to find a nursing home for my Mum. She used to work in them and knows how bad some can be, so she made it difficult for us. From the first day at Bron Haul she loved it. She always talks about the staff, how friendly they are and how welcomed she felt. Nothing is too much trouble, her needs are always met and we do not worry now when we leave as we know she is being cared for in the best way possible.
They inform me of how my mother is doing and for that, I thank them so very much.
Thanks to all the staff at Bron haul for looking after my dad
The staff are excellent with residents and families alike, always make you feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble. The place is very outdated and needs work to bring it up to date. I wouldn't put my mum anywhere else. It's always clean and tidy.
I've just spent two weeks here on respite and everything was excellent. Staff and residents were excellent. I'd fully recommend a stay here.
I like this home for several reasons. The home is very like a normal home. It is lovely. The people are great, also the home manager is very approachable as is the rest of the staff.
I like living here. Very good food. The staff are ok. I like my bedroom. The house is clean.
It makes me feel as if I am doing something useful and independent. It makes me feel as if I do jobs around the house. It stops me being bored and out of trouble. It gets me talking to the staff even more.
I would also wash up and keep the area clean and tidy.
I liked to walk to the shop.
I enjoyed the activities.
The staff and management are very accommodating to my needs.
It is a very caring home and my friends like to visit me here.
The food is always hot and filling.
Staff are attentive and deal with all my needs. I enjoy a laugh with the staff and residents, it has a very homely atmosphere with lovely homemade food.
I am well looked after. Staff are very nice, very pleased with the meals.
Well looked after. Friendly, well fed and encouraged to be independent.
I have been on a trip to the zoo, I had a lovely time. The staff were very good with us. I have my hair done every week which I really enjoy. Everyone comments about how nice I look.
I enjoy doing the activities and new knitting classes.
Good attitude to clients from staff and management. The staff listen to problems and accommodation is good. I am encouraged to be independent and I come and go as I wish to. I go to my clubs and to socialise.
Staff work really hard to identify their likes and hobbies and then provide opportunities for them to enjoy these. They foster independence for residents as much as possible.
I love that there is a real family feel to the place, it's not stuffy and formal. The staff are warm and welcoming to all, making it feel like home.
I have been here 28 years. In that time I have made lots of friends. I am able to go out to town and to the shop on my own. I am very happy with the medical team. The staff and management respect my privacy.
