Since mum has been in Bryn Edwin Hall she has been treated with respect and the carers treat her well with patience and always interact with her which we like. We've also noticed mum's skin is always clean and is well moisturized. Staff also keep mums morale up, always having a laugh and joke with her. If there is something we like to discuss the manager always sorts it. Since mum has been in Bryn Edwin Hall we have noted its very clean no smells unlike the previous home she was in.
A very friendly atmosphere. Staff are always welcoming and helpful. They care unconditionally for their residents and nothing is too much trouble.
Mother is well looked after by the staff most are very pleasant with the exception of one. Manager is easy to talk to and very helpful. Good cleanliness regime, by one person, public areas need attention e.g. painting of floor coverings, residents garden needs attention, sitting areas parasols (2015) and plant pots etc. Approach to hall needs attention, pot holes to drive woodland. Overall care by staff excellent, managed by excellent caring manager. All staff work extremely hard.
Most staff are kind and caring in their manner. Residents appear to be bored a lot of the time and maybe more use of the beautiful outside space would be good. Food is not always very good and also feels that more drinks should be provided. A greater range of stimulation/activities would be beneficial and need to cater for all levels of capacity. Washing/laundry service could be improved as things are often lost.
