I am a doctor from Ukraine, I have not seen my husband for the last two years due to Covid. When I visited this home I had a very nice welcome from the management and the staff and I was very happy seeing my husband looking very well.
Lovely staff, look after residents well. Activities on today, musician coming in to entertain the residents which is lovely. Always well cleaned and looked after. Can see nice Easter decorations around. Nan seems happy, nice atmosphere here.
Many thanks for your kind words, it is a real pleasure to look after your grandmother and all our wonderful residents, their wellbeing and happiness matter to us a great deal. Once again thank you.
The care home is perfect. My mum is very happy and well looked after. Staff are amazing, treating and loving her so much. They even learned Romanian (basic) to communicate better with her. Everything is amazing, staff, care home, food and atmosphere. Thank you to all the staff, and especially to the manager; she is so amazing.
Many thanks for your kind review and ongoing support and love to all our team. I am very pleased you are happy with Mum's care at Pontcanna House. Mum is an amazing lady, she deserves all the love and care in the world; she is too kind to everybody.
My father came to Pontcanna House during the summer of 2021 while we were all in lockdown. The transition was made possible because of the way Pontcanna House facilitated the move - very easy in extremely challenging times. My thanks.
Despite dad's admission was in a very difficult and challenging time, but with your support and dad's good and kind nature made it easier for us to care for him. Since the situation has eased we had the pleasure to know you and your family more. Hope life will go back to normal soon and we see each...
I have had my first visit to see Mum today in eight months. She appears happy but is longing to hold our hands and kiss us. Staff are all very kind and helpful.
We are delighted to see you at Pontcanna House visiting your lovely mum for the first time in eight months. Hopefully, soon you will be able to hold hands and hug each other again. We are very grateful to you and all the family for the kind support to Pontcanna House as ever, especially, during the...
My late father had dementia and had to be taken into residential care as my mother was too frail to look after him and my husband and I could not meet his needs for care either. It was a particularly distressing time as lockdown had just started and we knew we would probably not be able to see him for a long period. The owner and staff at Pontcanna House gave us great comfort from the first day. I was always confident that my Dad's health and also his well-being were being looked after with real individual care, and this was borne out when we were able to see him again. I would definitely recommend Pontcanna House.
Many thanks for your kind words and your trust in Pontcanna House to look after your beloved dad. The health and well-being of our residents is our prime duty to ensure their care is met with high standards. Despite, sadly, dad was with us only for a short time during the months of the COVID-19...
I am very happy that my dad is in Pontcanna House, and I feel very secure in his care that he receives, especially during covid19 pandemic. I have no concerns but know that I can ring at any time to discuss my dad if I ever have any concerns. Delighted to see my dad, so happy! Thank you.
Many thanks for your warm words. We are more delighted than you to have Dad in Pontcanna House as he is always a happy and cheerful gentleman. We also thank you for your trust in us to look after Dad and for your kind support during these difficult times. Please keep praying for us.
The care our mother has received during this difficult time, due to the covid19 virus has been exceptional, we as a family could not have wished for better care. Care provided prior to this crisis was also exceptional; the family is well kept informed of any changes in Mum's health.
Dear Susan, many thanks for your trust in Pontcanna House to look after your precious Mum. Yourself and all your family members have been exceptionally supportive since Mum's admission to Pontcanna House, especially during this difficult time which made our staff more confident to look after all our residents. Once again, thank you very much.
We are extremely happy with all the staff, the care that my gran receives, the homecare is amazing. The garden makes you feel so happy! The residents are so lucky to be in this homecare. Everything is so perfect. Very clean, the residents and the home care, food very tasty. Staff very kind, friendly and very helpful and caring. We 100% would recommend it! The last place where you could spend the rest of your days.
Dear Alex, many thanks for your kind words. Your detailed review of Pontcanna House means a lot to all team members. Pontcanna House is beautiful as you described only because residents like your grandmother and all our lovely residents live here. The care all the staff have for my father is outstanding. We could not have wished for a better care home than Pontcanna House. The cleanliness and professionalism of all the staff is excellent. At this most difficult time, when one of your parents needs additional full time care, the staff are now an important part of our family. I would highly recommend Pontcanna House to any family.
Simply thank you for your kind words and amazing support to Pontcanna House. The smile on your face and your family's faces with the positive approach dealing with our wonderful staff enhance staff morale always and during this difficult time we all are facing.
My mother has been at Pontcanna House for 3 years and in that time the staff have been both very friendly and helpful. Not only to the residents but also to visiting family members. Due to Covid 19, it has been difficult but we are so grateful the staff has kept everyone safe and well, residents and staff. My mother is happy and that pleases us tremendously.
Thank you for your very positive review, here at Pontcanna House, we strive to make all of our residents and their families feel that this is their home and that they are a part of our 'family'. Pontcanna House is kept COVID-19 free until now only because of the incredible support we received from kind people like yourself and all wonderful families and friends of our residents.

Glad I moved Mum here. Carers have good interaction with residents. Provide lots of activities. Home is very clean.
We have always been welcomed with smiling faces and hospitality when visiting our former neighbour. All the staff are deeply caring and attentive to the needs of the residents. There have been occasions when our visits have coincided with an activities afternoon, where the residents are either being entertained by a musician or other artists or they are engaged in tabletop pursuits with guidance. Everyone is catered for well and safety, security, health and cleanliness is excellent.
Thank you very much, Andrew, for your detailed review of Pontcanna House. We really appreciate you giving such an insight into the home for people to read, and we're very pleased that you're happy with the level of the activities and the relationship between our team and residents in the home! Thank you kindly again.
It is a very well run care home and the staff are very kind and attentive and deal with all issues arising in a very professional manner.
I am very satisfied with my father's care and the attention to his needs.
Thank you for your very kind words. Your father is an amazing character and he brought much happiness to the home with his poems and songs.
I am very pleased to record that Pontcanna House private care home is worthy of the highest praise. Indeed "a beacon of care" deserving of the highest praise is being administered with love and dedication by management and staff who carry out their duties with dignity and respect, in an atmosphere that is peaceful and calm. The staff are always there to offer every support and encouragement. It is never an easy decision to make when choosing a care home placement, however, the choice of family-fun Pontcanna House has fulfilled all our expectations. It is always reassuring after visits, to know that a safe and caring environment exists at all times. The home is exceptionally clean and food excellent. Indeed, "excellence prevails".
Many thanks for your amazing review! Your kind words have such a thoughtful touch and that's why you are appreciated very much.
Once again thank you very much.
Pontcanna House provides a home from home environment for all residents. Care is individualised and aims to maintain each persons independence. The staff at Pontcanna House provide an outstanding level of care which has enabled my nan to remain at Pontcanna House, where she is happy and feels safe, rather than being admitted to hospital on several occasions. Families are always welcomed and included in residents care. The manager provides superb leadership and is always accessible. I would not hesitate to recommend Pontcanna House.
Thank you very much Debbie for your kind words. Your family's presence at the home is always wonderful and your support is always appreciated.
