My husband has been in respite care here for 10 days. I have visited him on a regular basis and have been extremely satisfied with all aspects of his care. All the staff are very hard working and most polite and dedicated to the work they do. I am very impressed with everything here.
My mother-in-Law has been at Pontcanna for over 3 years. The care provided has been exemplary. She has been treated with dignity and respect and the staff are patient, smiling, friendly and positive. You get the impresssion that they know the residents well and have a genuine affection for them. They have adapted to her changing needs and done everything possible to give her a safe and comfortable home.
They are also very quick to notice and deal with any medical issues which isn't always easy when dealing with somebody with communication issues but they are very good at noticing any changes in behaviour and acting accordingly. It is a happy house where not only am I confident that my Mother is well looked after in all aspects of her care I am always made to feel welcome when visiting at any time. There is always a cup of tea on offer and time for someone to come and chat about how Mum has been doing. I look forward to my visits there not just to see Mum but to catch up with the whole household. It really is a home from home.
Very happy and settled. The home is homely and spotless. The activities are excellent. Everything is cosy and beautiful.
Pontcanna House is a superb place to live in. I love my room! Staff are very polite and nothing too much trouble for them! Its a 1st class place to live in.
Pontcanna House is an excellent care home run by professionals. I have been living here for the past five years. I have a beautiful bedroom overlooking a roof garden. I am Greek and I love cooking. I am able to cook once a week at least under supervision. Everybody compliments on my Greek cooking from staff and residents. We all live as a family in Pontcanna House very happy.
My aunt has been Pontcanna House for about 9 months, and I have been very pleased with the care she has received. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and there is always a good atmosphere about the place.
Whenever I visit the atmosphere is electric. Residence and staff are always pleased to see you are very happy and content. Santa came today and every person had a lovely present and everyone had a little dance all be it some in their chairs.
This is typical of activities and cared this residential home. The owners and staff always go the extra mile.
I like Pontcanna House, I have lived here for 8 years. It is the best. The staff are very nice. I like the food.
My mother has been a resident for almost four years. Throughout her time at Pontcanna House the owners and care staff have done everything they can to ensure her happiness and wellbeing as well as looking after her physical and medical needs. As her dementia has worsened her care plan has been reviewed and changed so that all her needs are met. Her personal dignity and wishes are always considered and the staff do all that they can to keep her safe, well fed, looking smart and they encourage her interest in all forms of music. My family and I are very pleased with the care my mother receives.
Always immaculate facility. Staff both competent and caring in every respect. Everytime I visit (weekly) my mother it always smells fresh as one enters the building. My mother always looks well and is treated with the utmost care and dignity at all times.
Very happy in Pontcanna House I enjoy every moment living here. I love the staff, everyone is kind, life is very easy and wonderful. The manager is very fantastic, I couldn't live in a better place.
I have been visiting Pontcanna House for the past five years. My friend had been in several homes before this one, but this is the first she felt safe and secure in. The support and care she receives is wonderful because of her condition she is not the easiest of people to deal with. She is always treated with respect and dignity. The food is excellent and if she doesn't like something the cook will prepares something specially for her. The home is spotlessly clean and the linen fresh and clean. They have entertainment every week with activities every afternoon. Hopefully I will not have to go to a home but if I did I would stay there without any hesitation.
For the last three years I have lived in Pontcanna House where I am very happy and life is great staff and management are very kind and caring in my judgement. 1st class place to live.
My husband responded well to the warm family atmosphere of Pontcanna House from his first day. He clearly felt at ease with the cheerfulness of all the staff and enjoyed their friendship. The care and affection shown by the manageress is evidently adopted by all staff. It is truly a family and a real home for the residents.
