Settling my mother in has been a happy and reassuring experience. The care has been excellent and it's a happy place for residents and for family to visit.
Thank you for your kind and thoughtful review. We are so pleased to hear that settling your mother into The Rookery has been such a positive and reassuring experience. It's especially wonderful to know you feel our home is a happy place for residents to live and for families to visit; this means so much to all our team.
My mother has settled in very easily. The care she receives is excellent.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We're delighted to hear your mother has settled in so well and that you're pleased with the excellent care she's receiving. Thank you again for taking the time to leave such a kind review.
The staff are all lovely and do their best to provide the best care I often hear them laughing and encouraging the residents which is lovely. The rooms upstairs are in need of some TLC and so is the main room but again the staff do their best to keep it clean.
redecorating we are happy for your feedback and we will always reflect on it.
My nan has been in The Rookery for a year now. It is very comfortable for her and she thinks of it as her home which for us as a family is great comfort. Nan is an outdoor person and the garden was the main reason The Rookery was out first choice. I like that Nan is able to move around the home and is not restricted to her unit as I know she would not like being confined to one place. Also we take Nan out frequently, but she is always pleased to return back to Rookery and when she sees the staff she has a smile on her face and hugs them as if she has been away for weeks. This is also a massive comfort to us as a family to know she likes the staff as much as the garden.
Thank you for taking the time to write this review I agree we have a lovely garden and are please that residents are able to enjoy the outdoors as this is very important to them
My experience of the care home is that it is a very caring place the food + place itself is loveley my nan is very happy staying here and the clenleyness is very good. The carers are very patients and they do lots of activities with the residents. I would totaly recomend The Rookery to other people looking for care for a loved one.
Thank you for taking the time to write this glowing review I will be sure to pass on all your positive comments to all the staff
My husband and myself visit this home twice a week, we visit my sister. We are always welcomed by friendly staff. We can see that my sister is well cared for. They have events often a recent one was animals which I have photos of my sister enjoying herself holding various animals.

Mum has lived at The Rookery 3 and a half years. She is very settled and loves it here. The staff are amazing with Mum and the family. They always keep us updated on everything. The care here is amazing. The activities are good, and my sister and I often come for a meal, the food is lovely. We also enjoy attending events/parties with Mum, residents and other family and friends. This is lovely to have social events and to see everyone enjoy themselves.
Thank you so much this review is outstanding I will make sure all the staff are aware
My mother is so happy and contented here in The Rookery. She is cared for really well by all the team. My mother is a different person here. Thank you.
I will pass these kind words on to the team
My mother has lived at The Rookery three years this March and she has been cared for to the highest standard. The staff and management are always willing to listen to mine and my mothers questions and always accomodate our wishes. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff are always happy and always interact with my mother listening to her stories of the past.
Thank you for taking time to write this review we are proud of the high standard that we keep I will pass this onto all staff
My mother has been a resident in The Rookery for 17 months. The difference it has made to mind and my families lives is unbelievable. I spend a lot of time with mam and deel like one of the family there. The staff go above and beyond and support us even when things are difficult. It has been an excellent decision for us all especially mam.
Thank you for taking the time to write this review I will pass on your kind words to the rest of the team I m glad we make you feel like family here
February was the 8th month that mum has been a resident at The Rookery and she continues to settle in really well. The staff are very kind and patient with ehr and she very often comments to me that they are brilliant. She is very happy with the meals and looks forward to them. Communication from the staff is very good. If mum is unwell, they notify me as soon as they can.
Thank you for the lovely review, i will ensure that the staff are made aware of your review.
My mother is in her element at The Rookery the daily interaction with other residents who she has become very fond of + quickly made new friends. The residents take part in daily activities which keep her mind active + focussed + she thoroughly enjoys participating. Since moving mum into The Rookery has given me peace of mind that her safety + wellbeing is in very good hands.
Thank you Tom for your lovely review, I will pass your comments onto the staff.
My dad has been living at the home since July last year, and we couldn't be happier with the care he receives. He gets on really well with all the carers, who treat him with kindness, patience, and genuine warmth. He's supported with whatever he needs, including washing and dressing, and nothing ever feels too much trouble for the staff. As a family, it gives us real comfort knowing he's safe, well looked after, and surrounded by people who care about him. We're very grateful for everything the team does.
Thank you Glyn for your excellent review, I will ensure that the team are fully aware of your kind words.
Thank you to all involved.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this glowing review im glad your mam is settled and you are happy with her care
I cannot compliment highly, enough about the care afforded to my mother by the brilliant and caring staff. All the care and attention is generous and excellent. I cannot say enough about how grateful we are for such excellent care. Forever grateful.
Thank you for your kind words, i will ensure that the staff are aware of your review.
The care home has recently been redecorated downstairs and the residents have a lovely lounge, bedrooms are lovely and it makes visiting a pleasant experience for them. Upstairs is very poor and in desperate need of the same care and upgrade. The residents pay the same amount of fees and are being neglated of the same living conditions. Upstairs the residents have very little activities and stimulations to keep them happy + engaged. More could be done to change that.
Thank you for your review, we apricate your feedback. As you are aware there has been a huge amount of investment in the home in the last year which has taken several months to minimise the disruption to the resident's and we apricate that we now need to focus on the first floor.
A is well looked after by all staff. She is comfortable, seems settled. She is happy.
