My mother recently passed away at The Rookery - she chose to end her days there and not go into hospital. The staff were respectful to her and very kind to her family. I have no negative remarks to make just kind regards.

My friend loved The Rookery. She thought it was like a 5* Hotel. She was taken into hospital in for few weeks. Her care was not very good, she missed The Rookery her home. When the end of life was put in place. We were so determined to get her home. We finally got her home on Friday evening, she was
so well looked after, comfortable, happy. The care was amazing for her from all staff. She passed away on Tuesday in her happy place.

The care and support given to my sister was excellent. She was very happy at The Rookery for 14 months. The staff were so kind to her and everyone liked her and she liked them. She passed away there and spent her final few days there after leaving a local hospital. So pleased she was at the care home
for her final days. She was very well care for there.

The staff at the care home are always friendly and efficient. Nothing is too much for them.
They obviously take pride in their jobs, and the people staying here seem happy and settled.

When I come to visit my family, the staff are very friendly, warm and welcoming. The residents are well cared for, respected and looked after. The care home is beautifully decorated, and the staff cannot do enough to help you. The residents to plenty of activities every day for their minds to be occupied.
They are safe and secure, the home is very clean, and good value for money.

After losing my mother last year, it became clear that my father, who has alzeheimers required specialist care and could no longer live at home. My father moved into The Rookery care home December 2024. I cannot thank staff enough for the excellent care given to my father during very confusing times.
I commend their hard work and dedication. The Rookery is like a home from home for my father as a resident but also us as a family. Very warm, welcoming and friendly. Rooms and communal areas are beautifully decorated,comfortable and suit the needs of each resident perfectly. There is a wide choice of food available on the weekly menu. My father thoroughly enjoys his meals and looks forward to the sounds of the tea trolley throughout the day!

We go to visit my auntie in The Rookery every couple of months because we live in Llanelli. The home is lovely and the staff are very welcoming and very helpful. My auntie seems quite happy there although she has got dementia. She's got a nice room and says the food is very nice.

Our dad had been at The Rookery for a year, as he has recently passed away. I cannot compliment all staff for the part everyone played in making my dads stay wonderful. Dad was so happy and contented and it's all thanks to the kindness and hard work put in by all staff on a daily basis. Always kept
beautifully clean, well fed and everyone always had a smile for him, which I believe is very important. You will never know what a huge difference you made to dads life and to us all as a family!! I will forever be grateful to each and every one of you. Thank you so much

My review is simple. My wife has been well looked after for two and a half years. She is well-settled and cared for by compassionate staff. They all deserve any praise. I have complete confidence in the staff's ability to make my wife's daily life as pleasant as possible.

My mum has recently been very poorly again and is completely bedbound. Rather than her go into hospital she has been cared for in The Rookery which we appreciate so much. She is kept comfortable, clean and looked after in an exemplary manner. We find comfort in the fact she is treated in this way and
couldn't ask for better. The staff also look after us as a family and for all these reasons we are extremely grateful.

My review to this care home is excellent. Care of nurses is next to none. Excellent caring of residents is number one in everything they do, involving in entertaining and craft making, and making that they are all looked after health wise.

I am satisfied with the care that my mother is receiving. The facilities are good and the staff are also good.
My main concern is to do with the apparent lack of activities/entertainment for the resident. I have not seen any take place during the last 4 months. Otherwise, all good.

Thank you for your review, I am sorry you haven't seen activities when you have visited however I want to reassure you that we have a daily schedule that takes place throughout the week and on some weekends to celebrate certain festivities. Your mother is encouraged to take part in the activities however on occasions can refuse to join in which is down to her personal choice but she did come 3rd place in our recent St David's card making competition and had 1st prize in pancake tossing on Pancake day. Our monthly newsletters are sent out to families which captures some of the activities and events taken place that month. We are always grateful for feedback to improve our service and your feedback will be shared with the activities team.
