I would highly recommend The Rookery. My grandmother has received excellent care. All carers have been very patient and considerate of my grandmother's needs. I would highly recommend The Rookery Care Home. My grandmother has received excellent care over the last year. The staff are very attentive to her needs, and she always looks spotlessly clean. My grandmother always comments on how nice the staff are to her and that they take great care of her. The facilities
have been excellent, and it's great to video call when we are not available to visit in person.

We are very pleased with the care Mam receives at The Rookery Care Home, she's very well looked after which is apparent. When Mam sees the carers she lights up. My dad appears happy and settled, always looked clean and well, has gained weight and has settled into The Rookery Care Home really well. All staff are aware of Auntie and her "habits", none are offended, all support her, spend time with her and above all laugh with her. Auntie is happy and enjoys the staff have fun and chat with her, each staff member has Auntie's well-being at heart and inform me if anything is needed or Auntie is unwell,

We had to make the difficult decision to move my grandmother into the Rookery during the pandemic. We were concerned as to whether we were making the right decision but we should not have been. The staff are like an extension of our family who provide the most dignified, compassionate and loving care
to our grandmother, who certainly deserves the best. The communication with the staff has been second to none, and despite the challenges that covid has brought, they have always kept us up to date and aware of when guidance was changing. When we have been allowed in to visit, covid precautions are taken very seriously, however, we have the warmest welcome. My grandmother is always clean, dressed beautifully and care is always taken to make her feel comfortable and looked after. If my grandmother has needed any medical attention, the staff have responded quickly and compassionately ensuring my grandmother’s best interests and health are taken into consideration.

My grandmother has been a resident since November 2021. The whole family have been very impressed and satisfied with the care she has received. We have been kept up to date with any incidents that occur (she's had a few falls, felt unwell, covid outbreaks etc) and they always go above and beyond when

Mam spent just over two years as a resident at the Rookery Care Home. Sadly, Mam passed away in October after a short stay in hospital. While Mam lived in the Rookery, she was extremely well looked after, the medical care was also good with GP visits, when needed. During the pandemic and the home being
closed to visitors, the staff were always on hand to keep us updated on Mam and we were able to have window and garden visits. The staff regularly contacted us to have Facetime calls with Mam and they have regular activities for the residents. On occasions, when ringing Mam's mobile there was no answer, but a call to the Rookery was always answered and a member of staff would go to Mam's room to sort out her mobile! Overall, myself and our family were very pleased with the care and support that Mam received from all of the staff at the home. The staff really work hard to make it a home from home for the residents.

My husband and I both had relatives in this home. In the three years they were there, we found nothing wrong. The staff were always very kind and caring. The entertainment was great. A fantastic friendly care home that provides quality and respectful care. The staff always go above and beyond, they treat the residents as if they were their own family! Nothing is too much trouble and they are always willing to speak and facilitate visits or virtual phone calls. My grandmother always
says how well cared for and lovely the staff are every time we speak or see her, that speaks volumes to us as a family. The staff's knowledge and understanding of conditions is outstanding. They really know each and every resident, their likes and dislikes and they care for them in a truly wonderful and understanding manner. As a family we know how well cared for, safe and happy the residents are. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the management and staff really had the best interests and safety of the residents first. Standards and guidelines were adhered to and as a family, we felt confident and comforted by the standard and levels of safety precautions shown. A wonderful home from home care facility!

My mother became a resident at the Rookery Care Home in August 2020. She had a lovely room which was always very clean and tidy. Whenever I visited my mother, she always looked spotlessly clean. The staff were always very welcoming and approachable. They regularly had different types of entertainment
for the residents. Medical care was good - the doctor made regular visits and the district nurse. My mother was happy at the home and never complained about her care. Because of Covid restrictions, there was no visiting allowed in the Home but we were allowed Window Visits, FaceTime calls and telephone calls. Overall, myself and my family are very pleased with the care my mother received at the Home. Personally, I think it is the best Care Home in the local area.

This home has been fantastic. They treated my mother with care and dignity. Whenever we phoned the care home, nothing was too much trouble for them. When Mam was having a good day, they would phone us to FaceTime her. We will always be grateful to the care home.

As a son, I struggled at first with my mother's illness, noting was good enough, and I argued with mostly everyone. The staff were very understanding, very supportive and empathetic. Without their commitment and care, I really don't think how I would have coped. I can't thank them enough for making

My mum was in the home for just over 2 years, we were very happy with the majority of aspects of the home and she settled very well. Obviously this year has been very tough and we lost Mam on the 1st July (she was 98). I would like to mention the deputy, who goes over and beyond her job, also the lady
who does the social side, as my mum was very fond of her. I would like to thank all the staff for their kindness in the last week of Mam's life. Also, special mention to one particular carer, he was very good and caring.
