My mam moved into the home in March 2023 and I have no concerns.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home, we are pleased that both you and your mother are happy.
My Dad spent the last seven weeks of his life at The Rookery Care Home, and during this short period he seemed to have a new lease of life. The dedication of all the staff in making sure his physical and mental needs were met, was second to none. He was always clean and tidy and occupied throughout the day, every time we saw him he had a smile on his face. During Dad's last few days of life the care given again was amazing, not just caring for Dad, but us his daughters too. The support was really appreciated. We recently discovered that Dad was born at The Rookery, so how fitting that he died there too. We really feel that The Rookery is a special place and the staff are special people. All we need to say at this point is Thank You.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a wonderful review where we make a difference daily in the lives of our beloved residents. It's always so heart-warming for the team to read such a lovely review and we are so grateful that you choose us to care for Dad.
My mam moved into The Rookery in 2021, we were so pleased with the care she received. She was loved by all. We were gutted that she had to move to a nursing home because of ill health, we would have loved for Mam to remain at The Rookery.
Thank you for reviewing our home, it has been a pleasure caring for your mother and we will miss you all.
My first visit to the Care Home was one of apprehension. I didn't know what to expect and more importantly, would I want to make further visits. I was very happy that my friend was well looked after. He looked well and happy to be there. He had his own large bedroom with a private bathroom and TV. The room was decorated like a typical bedroom at home. The room was very bright because of the large window and outside door leading to the outside garden area. I Met my friend in the lounge area where you could watch TV or take part in organised activities. I found it outstanding in all areas from management, reception, care staff, laundry, kitchen/meals, cleaners and maintenance. I can't praise this home enough. Thanks for the care and support you give.
Thank you for your wonderful feedback about our home. We are pleased to hear that your experience has been positive and appreciate all of your kind comments about our team. We look forward to seeing you soon.
The staff are very welcoming when you go through the door. They are very friendly and very helpful you can ask them anything. They helped settle my mum in very quickly. The facilities there are great; they have a hairdresser who comes and does my mum's hair and they have their own doctor there, which is great because we didn't have to do anything to change - they did it all for us. My mum is very happy in there and I know she will be very well looked after l would recommend this care home to someone else.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home. We appreciate it is a difficult time when moving in and we try to make the transfer as smooth as possible. We want everyone to feel part of our family and as a team, we are pleased that your experience has been positive.
My Mam has been at The Rookery since August 2022. From the moment she stepped through the door she was treated with dignity and respect. The level of care is outstanding. Her room is well-presented and spotless, with her own belongings around her. As a family, we feel that we are welcome and part of The Rookery family. Mam is safe and well looked after, every day is different but to see her happy and smiling is all we can ask for.
Thank you so much for your kind words, we are pleased and agree that Mam has settled well and is happy in her new home and it is great to hear that you also feel part of The Rookery family.
Mam seems generally happy and settled and the staff seem kind and caring, especially during difficult times.
Thank you for leaving us a review and we are pleased to hear your positive comments as a team it is important we have feedback, as our aim is to ensure we provide a high standard of service to your mother and you, as a visitor. We are always open to suggestions on how we can improve the service and welcome all feedback.
Staff members are excellent and very caring for my stepmother. her room was clean and tidy, they dressed her well and she was very happy. In her last few days, the treatment she received was the best she could have had. Thank you, everyone.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review our home at such a difficult time. We loved having your stepmother stay with us and she is sadly missed by all the staff at The Rookery. Our thoughts are with you and your family.
My mother has now been at the Rookery for nearly 5 months and I am so very happy with the care she receives. The "onboarding" process was explained well by management, so we knew what to expect and how to help my mother settle in. This was a stressful time for the family, so the support given to us was very much appreciated. Every single member of staff is caring and understands how to care for people with dementia. All residents, my mother included, are treated with respect and dignity. I have not seen my mother act agitated or worried since being a resident at The Rookery. All staff are quick to act on any suggestions or queries we might have. My mother is very well cared for. It is comforting to know she is in a safe environment where she has company, is kept spotlessly clean, is fed well, and has the opportunity to join in many activities. It is a lovely, friendly environment for my mother to live in and for me to visit. I couldn't be happier with her care.
Thank you so much for your lovely review, we appreciate you taking the time to review us. I will ensure the staff receive the feedback. I am pleased to hear that we made a stressful time a little easier for you all and we thank you for choosing The Rookery to look after your loved one.
This was the first time my mother had been in respite care. The home is spotlessly clean and bright and airy with a lovely garden for the residents. We were welcomed at the doors and given a tour of the facilities. All the staff were warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I had no concerns about leaving my mother here and would highly recommend The Rookery.
We are so pleased that your mother enjoyed her stay with us and glad that you were reassured that she would be well cared for whilst you were on holiday. We look forward to welcoming you in the future.
The Rookery, despite its definition as a noun, is a bright happy place with loved and cared for residents thanks to the tireless and passionate work the staff do. The staff held days and events like karaoke, wine and cheese tasting and movie night, all to keep the residents happy and entertained. I cannot thank the staff enough for taking such good care of my nan.
I was really worried when Mum needed residential care, but The Rookery is so welcoming. Everyone on the staff is lovely and friendly and does everything they can to make Mum happy and ensure she is cared for. They keep me well informed as to her moods, how she is generally etc. During a recent emergency, they were fantastic. I would recommend them to any family considering care.
My experience of the Rookery has been excellent, all the staff are so caring, patient and very professional, nothing seems too much trouble. They go above and beyond their duties and are all very welcoming for family visits. It is such a relief to know that my family member is being so well taken care of.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review us, your positive comments mean so much to us a team. Thank you for choosing us to care for your loved one.
I would highly recommend The Rookery. My grandmother has received excellent care. All carers have been very patient and considerate of my grandmother's needs. They have gone above and beyond during this difficult time. It is a huge relief to know my grandmother is being taken care of so well in a time where we have had to socially distance.
Thank you for your review, your positive comments mean so much to us as a team. It is always good to know that during such a difficult time we have provided reassurance that your grandmother is receiving the excellent care that she deserves.
I would highly recommend The Rookery Care Home. My grandmother has received excellent care over the last year. The staff are very attentive to her needs, and she always looks spotlessly clean. My grandmother always comments on how nice the staff are to her and that they take great care of her. The facilities have been excellent, and it's great to video call when we are not available to visit in person.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are delighted to hear your kind words, and we're glad that you and your family member are receiving the excellent service we strive to provide.
We are very pleased with the care Mam receives at The Rookery Care Home, she's very well looked after which is apparent. When Mam sees the carers she lights up. She's always very clean - in reference to clothes and hygiene. Carers are always welcoming and obliging to visitors, they accommodate as much as possible.
Thank you for your lovely review. We want everyone at The Rookery to feel like they are part of the family and as a team, we aim to ensure everyone has an enjoyable stay.
Overall standard is good and the care and support of the staff are also good with kindness and understanding.

My dad appears happy and settled, always looked clean and well, has gained weight and has settled into The Rookery Care Home really well. Staff are friendly and work hard and have been very helpful, under strict visiting guidelines there have been no issues with visits, we have always felt welcome and staff have been very reassuring.

All staff are aware of Auntie and her "habits", none are offended, all support her, spend time with her and above all laugh with her. Auntie is happy and enjoys the staff have fun and chat with her, each staff member has Auntie's well-being at heart and inform me if anything is needed or Auntie is unwell, all do their best for Auntie at all times.
Thank you for your kind words, it is very much appreciated by the whole team at The Rookery. Your Auntie is a pleasure to have around and we are all very fond of her.
