My friend's family and I were very reluctant to accept a place for my friend in the care home as we really didn’t think she would settle very well. How wrong we were! She is very happy and confident in her surroundings, has made friends and is happy to get involved with activities that are on offer which with help from the caregiver keep her motivated. She has also been busy helping decorate the Christmas tree and is soon to be joining in the Xmas jumper day.
Thank you for your wonderful kind review of Pitkerro Care Centre. We are delighted that your friend has settled into the Home and glad that she enjoys the mix of activities that we put on for all residents. I'll ensure that your comments are shared with the team.
This is an excellent care home. Staff are great always very helpful and caring. The food and cakes look delicious. The environment is well cared for and spotlessly clean. Rooms are spacious. I would recommend this care home.

My father had his 90th birthday on the 15/10/23. The staff couldn't do enough. Other residents were also involved. The staff interacted with other residents to involve them at the party. My father was singing which I hadn't seen for some time and he was very happy. The staff made it very enjoyable and lively and I can't thank them enough. I was very happy and emotional as my father was so happy and contented. I couldn't ask for a better placement for my father.

I have been a resident for over three years. I was going to go back to where I came from, but the staff here, from the top to the bottom, were so good, I decided to stay here and I definitely have no regrets. The staff are so helpful. They will buy me things I am short of or I fancy such as my favourite haddock dish and hot curries.

Over the last 6 months, in particular, since the new manager and the deputy manager came in along with the new staff, I have seen great improvement in the home. The home looks so much fresher and better with the new decor and so much more inviting and homely. There are always activities going on with so much more for the residents to do and get involved in. The staff all come across as being nice, happy and friendly and in particular, the new manager and the deputy manager are so nice and approachable and have done an amazing job with the home which has a great impact on all the residents and other staff. What a great home this is turning out to be.
