I would just like to thank the staff for the care they do for a family member. I've been unable to visit for personal reasons, however on my visit this time the revamp is so inviting and the staff are so helpful and friendly. I watched a member of staff, her calmness and dedication to her patient was a delight to see. The patience she had was above and beyond. I'm so happy with the care and dedication your staff deliver. The entertainment, arts and crafts etc, I could go on. A very inviting care home.

Every time I visit my mum she has this happy smile, and that makes me feel good, and knowing that all the staff are striving to make sure that her care and wellbeing are being looked after in the best possible way.

My Mum has been in Pitkerro Care Centre for over 2 years and I cannot fault the care she has been given. The staff are all so very helpful and are able to put my mum at ease if she gets over anxious. If my Mum was not in Pitkerro Care being cared for 24/7, I do not think she would be with us and for that, I am extremely grateful.

We are very happy with the care provided to Dad at Pitkerro Care Centre. The staff are very dedicated and helpful and keep us fully informed on what's happening on the inside as we cannot visit at this time. They are very attentive to Dad and are providing excellent care in these very difficult times. Dad is very happy there and has settled in well since he arrived there in March. We really appreciate what they are all doing and can't thank them enough for this.

My father has been looked after well in Pitkerro Care Centre for around 3 years.
The staff have excellent relationships with their residents, building trust and providing personalised care in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Visitors are welcomed at all times and families are kept updated and feel assured their loved ones are being well cared for.
The staff do a great job and are all (Carers, nurses, manager, kitchen staff, cleaners, handyman etc.) approachable, welcoming and show great kindness and respect for the residents.

Thank you for all the care, kindness and support you have provided to us and our father it is much appreciated by our family.

I would just like to say a massive thank you to all staff at Pitkerro Care Centre. My mum was unfortunate and caught Covid19 and the staff have been amazing caring for her over the past few weeks. They kept me and all the family updated regularly and helped put our mind at ease at this difficult time.

My mum is now recovering and doing well so massive thanks again to all the staff.

I am the niece of a resident at Pitkerro. I have always found the staff to be caring and friendly, treating residents with respect and care. The rapport they have with residents is great.
Rooms are bright and airy.
Overall, I would say the care is excellent and meets the needs of my aunt. I know she is in safe hands, and she can certainly be a handful.

Can’t thank the staff enough for their dedication and commitment.

My mum has been in the home for over 2 years, our family have never had any problems with the home or staff. We are always made welcome on arrival at the home and are always kept up to date with mums care on a regular basis. During this period of COVID-19, we feel the staff are doing an excellent job.

My Mum has been with Pitkerro Care home since the end of last year. I have to say all the staff have been supportive, understanding and very friendly to me and Mum. With her increasing dementia at 94 years of age, it requires skill and understanding to look after this condition. It’s hard enough putting your mum into any form of care, but Pitkerro has lifted a huge weight off my shoulders. I looked after mum for 10 years after losing my Dad, and it was social care who suggested the time had come for her safety to take the next step. I will be forever grateful for their care and attention under very difficult circumstances.

Picking a care home for a family member is never easy even more so when you are 500 miles away and can’t be there at a drop of a hat. The moment I stepped into Pitkerro Care Centre the staff were extremely friendly and easy to talk to about concerns and the relocation from a previous care home. The team at Pitkerro made the move easy and the transition for our family member to settle. In recent weeks we have seen the country move to lock down and the team at Pitkerro have been fabulous and we can’t fault them. We received regular updates via email and phone, some specific to our family member while other updates are more general to everyday living. We can’t fault the team at Pitkerro, their dedication to the residents is outstanding and are always putting their care first.

The staff are very professional and very caring to all residents. They are very approachable and will answer any questions I have about my mother-in-law.

They let me know if they have to phone the GP if my mother-in-law needs a doctor, if there is a virus in the home They are all very nice to both residents and visitors. My mother-in-law is very happy here and is well looked after. I could not ask for more.

Review from Shelagh W (Niece of Resident) published on 5 February 2019 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
The staff at Pitkerro have gone out of their way to help my uncle's granddaughter (she lived with him), to be able to celebrate firstly Christmas and then her 18th birthday in January. They set up a Christmas dinner table, decorated the room and supplied a Christmas dinner for them and his daughter. For her 18th birthday again they assigned a room, decorated it and allowed family and some friends to celebrate the birthday there so that her grandfather could be part of it.
My uncle needs 24-hour care and I, as a nurse for 43 years cannot fault the care he has been given since September last year. He is not always the easiest person to care for and I admire their patience.

Thanks guys and gals.

My Dad has now been in Pitkerro Care Centre for one year. In the time he has been there I have had no concerns at all. He is very well looked after. He is happy and likes the staff and the environment. The food always looks very good. I feel very happy visiting him and know if I have any concerns I could very easily speak to the manager and her staff as they are all very approachable.
