We had a meeting with care staff on the unit where your Mother is a Resident, the outcome is that staff will ensure that daily, a member of staff will spend some quality time with your mother.

4 and a half years ago, having to find a home for my darling husband, I made appointments and viewed 20 plus places - none were right. Then someone recommended the Alexander. I turned up unannounced but was immediately felt very welcome and as soon as I stepped inside kind and loving warmth exuded and I knew it was the right one! More than a home, all residents, relatives, friends and every member of staff are members of one big happy family. Everyone's treated with kindness, respect, dignity and TLC - just as you would treat your own family members. My husband has severe dementia, can't communicate, walk nor do anything whatsoever for himself and one of the many at the Alexander needing total 24-hour care. Thank heavens for you all at the Alexander. Can't begin to praise and thank you enough. Stars and angels, all of you.
The staff were kind to my father. As it was palliative care, Mum was allowed to be with him for his last few hours. Everyone was just so kind. Very big thank you to management and staff.

My mother went to Alexander in February 2013 requiring nursing care, over the next almost 6 years she was shown kindness, as she slowly slipped away from us with her dementia. Her dignity was always maintained, the staff always made us feel welcome, everyone had a smile and wave for us. We would like to say thank to all of the teams working in the kitchen, laundry, cleaners, entertainment, carers and nursing staff. Sadly mum passed in October and we will never forget how grateful we are for the care that she was given. We had the luxury of leaving her in the home knowing that she would be well cared for.
