Welcome to Bridgeside Lodge Care Home in Islington. Situated by the beautiful Regent’s Canal, the luxurious modern gated property offers 24-hour care for those between the ages of 18 and 65. They provide specialist care for younger people with neurological and spinal conditions, and elderly people with or without Dementia. They are blessed with a long-serving team of carers, and partner therapists who deliver high-quality, person-centred care within a homely environment.

The purpose-built home comprises 64 single bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities. They encourage residents to furnish their new surroundings with familiar pieces of furniture and personal possessions to make them feel truly at home. While the bedrooms provide a tranquil area to rest and relax, the bright and attractive communal day rooms offer residents the opportunity to catch up with friends, enjoy one of the home's visiting entertainers or simply recline in front of their favourite films.

At Bridgeside Lodge, they encourage residents to take part in a range of engaging activities based on their lifestyle needs and preferences. Many of their activities take place within the home environment and include arts/crafts, quiz nights and musical evenings. In the summer, they host garden parties and barbecues on their riverside terrace. They empower individuals to enjoy those everyday routines they cherish, whether that’s having a salon blow-dry and manicure or keeping up to date with their favourite football team. All are encouraged and available. Residents enjoy the wider community, with a thriving high street, independent shops and local park all within a short distance.

The home's professional catering team delivers nutritionally balanced meals that are appealing to residents. Their professional food suppliers specialise in delivering high-quality food designed specifically for the healthcare sector.

My grandfather is on the third floor of Bridgeside Lodge Care Centre, and in the last 4 months that he has been there I have found the staff (including the manager) welcoming and friendly, and always smiling and willing to help.

Bridgeside Lodge is a clean and fresh care centre, where residents and their relatives alike feel welcome and relaxed. The building itself has waterside views providing a great outlook and interest for residents. The care and kindness shown to my father at Bridgeside Lodge has been 'second to none'.
Consequently, he has settled into what feels like an extended family in the section of the centre in which he resides. He loves the meals, which can be taken quite flexibly if the need arises. There is a lovely outside space to enjoy 9weather permitting) and also at events, music, BBQ etc. One of the best features of Bridgeside Lodge is continuity of staff that are permanent employees; we have not noticed use of 'temps' or 'agency' which might be less positive. As Bridgeside Lodge, the staff quickly react to maintain the health and hygiene of my father, with the local surgery having very approachable GP's nearby. Our whole family is very glad we found Bridgeside Lodge for Dad!

Bridgeside Lodge is a very well managed care home. My brother has been a resident there for 2 months and I am very happy with the care he is receiving.
He is getting the very best of food and every effort is made to encourage him to eat. A special soft diet has been arranged. My brother has a skin
care nurse visiting him regularly. He has speech therapy and assessments of his dementia condition.
I find the management and staff very approachable and helpful.

I was delighted to find my old friend to be clean, happy and absorbed by activity - both within the care and the view from their communal spaces. I believe that he is in good hands and with a kindness demonstrated by staff including manager.

Bridgeside Lodge is a fun place.
The residents/staff have a good rapport.
It is such a family atmosphere.
Relatives communicate with the manager who is approachable and a good listener.
This was the first home we looked at and we have no regrets.

Our friend spent the last three weeks of his life in Bridgeside Lodge, having been transferred there after three weeks in the hospital. He had been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer at the beginning of September and his deterioration was very rapid. However, he was so happy to get a room at Bridgeside
Lodge and although he wasn't really well enough to participate in any activities provided, he really appreciated the care and kindness he received. As his friends, we were really grateful for all the support, both practical and emotional, that the staff gave us as well.

Besides being situated within a lovely, tranquil location by the canal, Bridgeside Lodge is an extremely well run care home. All the staff that were involved with my father's care were thorough, attentive and considerate. My father, my family and myself were made to feel very welcome and a part of
the home. Nothing was too much trouble and there was always a lovely, positive atmosphere whatever time of the day you visited. I always felt that my father was with a safe pair of hands and couldn't have been in a better place. The whole ethos of professionalism and consistency was not only reassuring but a huge relief and for that, I am extremely grateful to all who were involved with his care.

Fantastic place. Fantastic Staff. Capable. Understanding. Friendly. Very helpful. I fully recommend this home for Dementia care. 10/10. I don't think it could possibly be better that this for circumstances of dementia care - and thanks for your oasis of dignified care for my dad.
