The staff were very hospitable and the premises were set-up to be accessible 24/7.
Also, the service provider implemented a monthly check-up with a person linked to a resident.
Altogether, an excellent placement.

Thank you.

Farm Lane hosted my mum while I went on respite. She was well looked after and I felt she was safe there while I was taking a little break.

Her room was spacious and the common areas were welcoming. The only improvement I would suggest is to include additional activities during the day as residents are often sitting , sleeping or walking around and could benefit from more hands on activities (similar to what they would do in a day centre) to keep them stimulated.

My father is a resident in Farm Lane care home. Since arriving the care provided for him
Is excellent. All the staff that work there are some of the most friendly caring people I have come across. They talk directly to my dad which I think is very important and they keep him
clean with all his medication given throughout the day. The food is very good and they bring him

Everything he needs. It's very reassuring for me knowing that he is being take care of so well and knowing if anything was wrong there are professionals there to take care of him.

My dad has been a resident for nearly 2.5 years now. I am happy with the way the staff look after him and make sure he has his medication. All requests are dealt with in a timely manner and communication is good with the clinical lead with regards to any medical concerns.

I would highly recommend Farm Lane Nursing Home. The rooms are kept very clean, and hygiene is clearly a high priority.
The staff are all amazing, from management to all the other hard working staff that care for my dad day to day. The staff not only ensure my dad is cared for to a high level, but they are also caring and kind to relatives who visit the home.

Cannot fault the high standard of care given to my dad in the last 6 weeks. Well done Farm Lane.

Carehome, clean, well run, accommodating to tenant requests. Nice garden. Food could improve and more choice given for light snacks. Because of location very quiet but close to tube station. Some problems with laundry not returned promptly. Notice smell in corridors and room of urine and maybe bleach smell.

My aunt is a resident of Farm Lane care home, and has been there for the last three years. During this time their efforts have been exemplary. My aunt dementia has gradually worsened during this period, despite this the staff have taken everything in stride. If any actions have been needed, I have always been informed before time where necessary or possible. My assessment is that Farm Lane was a very good fit for both my aunt and also the family.

Meet the Team (1)

Diana Gooranah
Diana GooranahJob Title:Home Manager

Before my current role, I was deputy manager, so I feel privileged to have been promoted.

It is incredibly rewarding to lead a team I’m really proud of.

The most important aspect of my role is to ensure residents are happy, safe and well cared for. It’s wonderful watching the team work well together with dedication and compassion. Seeing the positive difference we make in people’s lives keeps me motivated.

I’ve been part of Care UK since 2006. I chose to work for the organisation because it truly values people – both residents and colleagues. I’ve been lucky enough to work alongside fantastic colleagues over the years and have been supported throughout my career.

To be a home manager, you need a combination of compassion, dedication and strong leadership. It’s important to genuinely care about the well-being of residents and to be able to support and motivate a team. Each new day brings a fresh set of challenges, so it’s essential to have strong problem-solving skills too.

Patience, empathy and excellent communication skills are also key as you need to build relationships with residents, their families and colleagues so that everyone feels valued and heard.

I enjoy spending my free time with family, listening to music, reading, and travelling.
