There is great emphasis on building new friendships and maintaining existing relationships. Family and friends are encouraged to become part of the Limetree community and participate in the daily lifestyle activities that take place.
The team is proud to hold the Beacon-status for the Gold Standards Framework. A framework that is all about the resident and their quality of life, where they will try to ensure each resident and their family are helped to be as physically well as possible, to feel safe, informed, reassured of support. To be treated with dignity and respect, as an individual person, and where your views and preferences are sought and acted upon where possible.
The home is currently undergoing a decoration programme which is all centred on consultation with the residents so that Limetree includes what is important to them and it gives them a sense of belonging in their home.
Residents are key to helping select new staff members through their involvement on the recruitment interview process. Residents get to ask potential candidates questions around how they will deliver their care and help them maintain their quality of life.
The home has recently re-focused on the Resident of day model and is using the form ‘This is me’ from the Alzheimer’s Society to help aid this process. The form provides an easy and practical way of recording who the person is; their cultural and family background; events, people and places from their lives.

The staff are very caring and looked after her incredibly well. She was treated with dignity, respect and love. The new management has made a real difference to the range of activities on offer. I always felt mum was in safe hands and that she was valued as a resident. Sadly, we lost her in May. The staff could not have been kinder to her and the family.

From day one she has been happy at Limetree, she is well cared for, clean, healthy and happy. She has friends, engages in all activities, loves the babies that visit. She says she has wonderful carers and she wants for nothing. As we live overseas it is such a comfort to us to know that my mother-in-law is so happy. The management and staff are all so genuinely caring and also available for family members who have any questions. I am very impressed with the care given at Limetree and have no hesitation in recommending this home for anyone-its number 1 in my book, absolutely no complaints.

I have been visiting my 91 year old sister at the care home for about 5 months and I am really pleased with the attention she gets. She is always clean and near which is so important as she had dementia. Staff always seem happy and reception always smiling which is so important. Very good care home.

My mum reluctantly moved there at the age of 97 from her home of 67 years and she loved it from the very first day. She is thriving....

My mum reluctantly moved there at the age of 97 from her home of 67 years and she loved it from the very first day. She is thriving. The people who live in the home are happy, the staff are warm, friendly, kind, patient and highly professional. Residents are treated with love, compassion, dignity and respect. Vanessa and Cleo interact with me regularly as to how mum is and they have facilitated facetime conversations with her. Vanessa sends me pictures and videos of her regularly and she shows mum videos I send of family. I am truly grateful they take time out of their busy schedules to do this. The home is clean and well maintained, the activities are great, management and staff truly care about the residents and their families. I can't recommend Limetree Care Home enough, your loved ones couldn't be in a better place.
